sad music

what is the sadest music for you personally? what affects
you in that deep jarring way that no other sound can? maybe
its something everyone else finds happy.

lately, "memory" from cowboy bebop has been giving me
sniffle-chin. i always see that "see you later space-cowboy"
screen in my head when i hear it.

MAN.... that sounds so pathetic.

"what the heck is going on in here?" and im all like snot
bubble runnin.... hahahahahaha

elephant man (its not music, but...) ALWAYS gets me close to
that edge. same with fire walk with me.... the murder scene
in particular, cuz its SO brutal and that opera-ish music is
so sad sounding.

Complex, this hip hop alchemy
When I was a kid I watched Electric Company
Now I'm all grown living life to the bone
New tone, spaceship take me home
Back to the seventh sun the seventh one
When I drop patience, Kevin's Dun
This eloquent macula is black enough
To bring a shake to Dracula
Uh, I'm hitting them with synonym adrenaline
Then I send them to the kingdom of the heavens
A matter of time before this rhyme
Infiltrates the bloodstream into the mind
Of a man living a life in Babylonia
So lonely she went to California
Frisco, hypno's, get clothes
Crystals, take it back to the raw rap

(You, you blind baby. You're blind from the fact oh yeah
cause you're
watching that garbage!)

I'd put Avril 14th in the "beautiful" category as opposed to
"sad"...and maybe even the first one...what is it called
again?

Vltrmx (Ae), Sincetta (Plaid), Phaedra (Bochum Welt), Kesson
Daslef (AFX), etc... etc... I love electronic sad melodies

btw: About the "old" rock music I'd say Black (Pearl Jam),
Nutshell (Alice in Chain), Amazing (Aerosmith).

He has left us alone but shafts of light sometimes grace
the corner of our rooms
by A Silver Mt. Zion made me sad
forever.

L'éclat du ciel était insoutenable by Hrsta is very
sad (and great) too.

Yeah, Morgoth you're right...
My Dying Bride are the kings of sadness...of all
non-electronic stuff that I've heard, they 've always had
the biggest emotional impact on me..and still have.
As for electronic stuff, I'd put here a few Squarepusher
tunes...
"I Wish You Could Talk" rules here,
and also may be "Our Underwater Torch

their saddest song or the latter half of 'Closer', not many
people have heard that version, and the last verse was
emmited..
