i felt like it took to long to develop

I lost interest in the middle, and I had the sound up enough
to hear all the noise in the background.

not bad, not great.

hey this is really nice.. excellent percussion and sick
melodies! great use of white noise too.. like ocean waves
rolling onto a beach and the percussion/melodics being
drudged up out of the deep with it.

Can't believe I forgot to respond to this thread... sounds
like wind through trees with aluminum leaves at the
beginning, really like that sound. Panning on the hats is
really well done, that and the bass drum kick the subtlety
out, good transition to the melody, and back into subtle.
Didn't like the wavering noise melody line, felt like it
didn't fit quite well... just leaves me feeling like I want
something a bit more from the, well, I guess 3rd fourth of
the song... second half before the wind/metal trees stuff
comes back.

Good stuff, I feel like I should be hearing it from your end
of things... how loud do you like the piece to sound? More
ambient? What was the inspiration behind the piece?

I think I can make some more constructive comments with some
mindframe info... if the stoned comment is what you were
going for, it definitly fits that mood, although I'm staying
away from the pot for the moment, so I'll stop there until I
get some quality time with a j

'youre not stoned enough'

classic :D

ok ive gone and turned it up loud

i see how youve worked on implying organics in the
beginning

and there is a lot hidden, subtle changes in the quality of
the bass kick for example. ah and all the elements come
together nicely at 2minutes

what sticks in my head is the harmony :D has me playing the
track again

Yeah... I tried listening to it louder, definitly some
elements I didn't hear before

In my opinion, that sort of complexity would be much better
shown off if you upped the levels on certain parts. Orrrr
you could challenge the listener to figure it out on their
own like this, but I'm lazy, so maybe I shouldn't talk

i thought it was good... the only thing i didnt like was the
choice of notes in the bass... could just be put down to
personal taste, other than that... cracking drums and noises
and ambience... good work

that was a nice one, stoney - nice muted percussion fills
and nice synth work! a good one!

Thanks guys! Glad you liked it.

Teapot - we had originally had another bassline setup (which
i like better) but my melody guy decided he wanted something
with more notes in it, so thats the current one. I dont hate
it though because it sounds kinda videogame-ish.

Sometimes while creating, something sounds good at the
moment but later sounds like it deserves to be
scrapped/replaced whatever. The melody is this way I think.
A different melody could be better probably. The ambientish
sounds are great. Maybe the percussion etc. structure could
be more intricate for my preference.

You just need to change the main notes. Make them more
nasty. The intro suggests the main notes are going to be
really nasty. But apart from that its very good.
