I have had a reviaval of FNM this weekend...putting Angel
Dust and King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime on a playlist
in random really makes my day.

"Midlife Crisis" has always been my favorite song, but this
weekend I actually choosed "King for a day" instead...that
track rocks!

any Fatih No More thoughts?

Caffeine is superb. So good in fact that several bands have
made a career out of copying it.

Jizzlobber is evil incarnate :D

I love King for a Day the album, the fact it bombed is
staggering to me

angel dust is my favourite fnm album,

more attention from me nowadays.

had a fish themed b-day party, so yeah...(ie. the 'epic'
video, would have rather had a ripped apart by horses themed
one)

Mike Patton is great. I've been listening to "King For A
Day" and the first Tomahawk album a lot recently. They both
slay.

i found all the fnm albums kinda lackluster compared to
angel dust which is incredible. the real thing is pretty
bad I thought and king for a day and album of the year had
their moments but weren't anywhere near as good as angel
dust.

yeah i am diggin the tomahawk! The album was better than i
expected. A lot of people told me they suck, when they came
live with tool. I dig em.

What a shame they finished things off with Album of the
Year. There's about three tracks worth listening to.

FNM kicks dick. King For A Day is one of the greatest albums
ever made imo. The new Tomahawk album is amazing as well.

i HATE Mike Patton.

He made Dillinger Escape Plan's latest EP suck.

Tomahawk is AWFUL, I saw them live when they opened for Tool
last year. It was the worst music I've ever heard, halfway
through a song he put a gas mask with a mic in it on and
started DJing and having a seizure.

Faith no More were greats! I have all'album on tape.

Woodpecker from Mars was awesome!
The Real Thing and Angel Dust are best albums, imo.

I heard about some interesting experiences Tomahawk had
opening for Tool. Patton probably only took the tour so he
could piss of ten thousand over serious goths every night
(not counting yourself in that heh). I have footage of
Patton winding up the crowd with Tomahawk actually...
extremely amusing to see him tell a bunch of rednecks to
fuck off. The man has style!

Lots of FNM´s riffs, bass sounds, etc could be well cutup
by a skilled IDM to create some amazing fucking banging
tracks

listen to Lessers Epic pisstake/mashup for an
alright attempt. More needs to be done!

everyone hate them! pretty much reminded me of faith no

my fav mike patton project may be Lovage, followed probably
by mr. bungle (pure insanity!), fantomas (movie theme song
covers done in metal style!), FNM (i'll pick up angel dust
used tomorrow for $5 when i get the new deftones album),
tomahawk (more straight forward hard rock and metal but i
really enjoyed their opening act before tool in baltimore
last year), and finally peeping tom (another project w/
automator; ~12 demos leaked a couple years ago, "real" album
due 2004 and said to be patton's most accessible material
ever). haven't heard other stuff yet, like patton solo,
album w/ merzbow, etc.

what's the next best FNM album after angel dust? king for a
day?

tool, nin, and radiohead fans are a combination of mooks and
pricks. it bothers me how such great bands can have such
worthless fans...

I know what you mean titsowrth, tool fans particularly try
to seem all intelligent because they listen to Tool but then
when something different like tomahawk is thrown at them
they all hate it. i went to the tool show last year(it was
incredible) and everyone was yelling at tomahawk to get off
the stage(i think i was one of like 20 people there that
liked tomahawk)

they also booed and swore at king crimson, who are pretty
much tool's fathers (musically speaking). maynard would come
out and criticize the crowd afterwards for being such
dumbasses and thanking king crimson profusely for performing
and inspiring them.

tool fans also jeered tricky but that's somewhat more
understandable since he's such a different genre and his
newer music isn't that great. still, very disrespectful.

tool fans embarass me routinely, but not nearly as much as
nin fans... they make me totally ashamed to love nin like i
do. nin fans are easily the worst among fans of artists that
aren't completely mainstream.

allow me to throw on some nine inch nails and cry in the
dark.
and when i saw radiohead in chicago two summers ago, it was
like woodstock. only without the war...
but still, by far, in my opinion, tool fans are the scum of
the earth. usually they are either pretentious jackasses or
their other favorite bands are disturbed, slipknot,
mudvayne.....

hey! don't diss slipknot ...though mainstream, I would say
that the disasterpieces-dvd is a great concert-dvd. I was at
a slipknot-concert a couple of years ago and I have been
listening to them for some time now. The new shit they
released is sucky, but the old shit rule (if youre into that
kinda stuff).

that Dillinger Esape Plan with Patton is the only enjoyable
one they've got... especially the cover of Come To Daddy...

tool fans all bought into the Perfect Cricle moneymaker
likewise
when I say Bungle open for System of a Down and Incubus they
got booed real bad and only played for 20 minutes... that
really pissed me off since I went to see them...
that's ok - I saw kid606 open for Fantomas on their first
tour and everyone booed him too
