are you seriously asking me what ICQ is?

well anyway...I don't think AIM should be something in a
poll, since only americans can use it (right?)

well ICQ is only getting better. It has good functions and a
wide range of fully supported plugins

ups: History, file transfer, chat, ICQ-lite

downs: spammers

MSN Messenger on the other hand is a crappy shit-system.
They don't even have a build in History, and the fucking
design is horrible

Ups: a lot of my friends uses it

Downs: a lot of my friends uses it, no History

Just get trillian, it's msn, ICQ, AIM, IRC and yahoo
messenger all in one program.

All chats can be logged. File transfer possbible...

icq is the clear choice

offline corrupted-girl on 2003-05-16 09:07 [#00701099]

icq is a lot better in my opinion.. because it has a lot of
features msn doesn't have. msn is kinda flaky to me. but I
use both.

MSNM is the best. ICQ is full of useless crap.

Used Trillian for a while, but then it started killing the
Windows GUI, so fuck that.

Yea! Miranda ownz! Has all the options you need and NOT all
the shit you don't need in ICQ.

On mac I use Proteus which is like Trillian.

send a message?

I'm using what we call in sweden "röksignaler" very similar
to the message-system indans used a long time ago with the
help of smoke and a carpet.

I actually think the Instant-can-messenger is better...it
was all up to how long the wire between the cans was...and
there you go...long distance quality messaging...and no
banners!
