14.3 MB, and it looks great. I'm not sure which is more
impressive - the Halflife2 screenshots or this.

uhhhhhhhh where the fuck you getting your info from.

carmack doesn't sell out, he has more $ than he needs.

it _will_ be on xbox, but VERY VERY VERY far from a fucking
xclrusive where it would bedelayed on PC

oh btw,, CARMACK = OPENGL GOD
CARMACK = DOES NOT USE DIRECT X

MICROSOFT = DIRECT X

XBOX = ONLY DIRECT X GAMES

sorry for being jackass

not too many people realize how big this game is - the leap
in graphics technology.

thsi engine will be used for the netx 5+ years....

most ppl just go ::shrug :: "nice graphics, looks pretty
cool i guess

makes me want to kill myself

Anyone want to send me a new computer? Preferably a Falcon
Northwest or an Alienware model - anything packing a Radeon
9700 under the hood will do though.
Crap.

Waaah, I don't have highspeed cable access either! Could
someone direct me to a non-image intensive gaming news site?
I've been relying on http://www.gamespot.com but it crashes
on me 6 out of the 10 times I go there. Even a message
board would be good(preferably one with a mature and
well-informed audience. No 'sig' files allowed is also a
big plus).
Anything! E3 is quickly coming and going and not being
among the first to know is soooooo irritating..

you're right, the news I read was wrong, it will be on XBox,
but not an exclusive.

and yes, the engine should power some more awesome games!

Doom III Screenshots

offline Cabbog from Chautauqua (United States) on 2003-05-13 21:50 [#00697256]

The Quake III engine passed it's prime quite a long time ago
in my opinion. The graphics in Medal of Honor and Return to
Castle Wolfenstein are down-right stale - especially in
comparison with something like Halo. When's Doom III coming
out again? Supposedly Half Life 2 should be on the stands
by september - Now there's a good-looking engine! It's a
variant of the one Deus Ex: Invisible War is using, which in
turn is a heavily modded version of the Unreal 2 technology.

K, pardon my language, but FUCK ME. That game looks fucking
amazing. Only shit is, i probly wont have a computer to run
it well! What you think your graphix/computer setup wil
have to be to play a game like that at a good FPS?

Look here, notice how the booth looks like it's
rendered in the D3 engine? They're messing about with some
engine that manipulates reality I tell you!

emule/edonkey2000, etc.

emule is my fave client
http://www.emule-project.net

the edonkey network is no good for music (that's what slsk
is for), but for movies and ISOs it's just sick.
