Thanks to you guys i've bought several real ambient albums which i really love, and without xltronic i would never have heard of them. Like:
Ulrich Schnauss - Far away trains passing by EU - warm math Baby Mammoth - Motion without pain Four Tet - Pause / dialogue Manitoba - Start breaking my heart Fridge - Happiness and of course every BOC album
Now, likely, i want more like this. Can you give me some help?

I wouldn't really class that list as "ambient"...
But if you like that stuff I'd recommend a couple:
Casino vs Japan - Go Hawaii & Whole Numbers Play The Basics Populous - Quipo Everything on the Merck label

Kieth Fullerton Whitman- Playthroughs (LUSH minimal drone... so beautiful!)
Kieth Fullerton Whitman- Darmoth Street Underpass (an 18 min, unaltered recording from a subway station in boston, and then a interpretation track... of DSP he did with that audio. amazing as well)
btw: Kieth Fullerton Whitman is Hrvatski. But TOTALLY different styles. His hrvastski alias is for the crazy glitchy drill stuff, and his real name alias is for the ambient stuff.

the Telefon Tel Aviv album is pretty ambient, i listen to that one a lot. some of my Coil stuff is ambient, and then of course there's the Warp nonsense that takes up so much shelfspace. i guess my fave ambient album released through Warp lately is the Req album Sketchbook.
typically though i'm hesitant to buy ambient because it seems like an awful lot ($10-16) to invest in something you might get bored of. as long as i have a bunch of "active" music on my list ambient usually comes second. i'll check out some of the albums mentioned above though, thanks.

i listened to it a bunch of times as background and it's fantastic. i've listened a couple times with headphones on and i enjoyed it but it is very repetitive. i think it all has to do with having the right context for appreciating it.

did somebody mention casino vs japan?
i'd have to agree that 'go hawaii' is well worth a listen. beautiful ambient techno (is that right?), distorted drums, sweeping synths, what more could you ask for? :)

Funki Porcini - Fast Asleep.
Christ - Pylonesque (less ambient than BoC, but a similair style, albeit more electronic sounding).

Yep! Biospheres Substrata is still one of my Favs. All Pole Releases (esp 3+R) are very relaxing. Its more dubby but still progressive. If you like old school ambient Id recommend Chi-original recordings by Chi. Its a dutch group form 1971 and they really was ahead of their time.
