Is this the most "pop" sounding Aphex track ever? I reckon
so. Does anyone have another suggestion for one?

Not really. In my opinion anyway. I can't see that being
played in a club.

DMX Krew - Can't Hide Your Love (Hidden Love) is quite
pop-ish, but good.

Good call. It's got a slight french disco sound to it I
think.

Yes, it's like "proto-daft punk".

It must be fairly poppy as they used it on Cold Feet and
various ITV adverts for shit programs. But it still isn't
that poppy.

I want to buy DR cause I'm a collector, but I already own 3
of the 4 tracks on the Singles Collection :(

It's not that expensive though. I picked it up for about £3
on vinyl and something else for the CD.

poppiest....great song nonetheless!!!

I love Pigeon Street. If I could remember how the Theme Tune
to the kids TV show of the same name went then I'd know if
it was the same. Does that make sense?

was a criteria though) :-)

PIGEON STREET (1982)
BBC

THEY NEVER learned how to do hands properly, did they?
Flared of arm and cosmopolitan of make up, the residents of
Pigeon Street pottered about their middling adventures, with
a song here, a joke there, and nary a care for the rising
tide of garbage conservatism threatening their peaceful,
multi-cultural existence. Long distance Clara, Mr. MacAdoo,
that fucker with the telescope, all human life was here.
With flappy, distended hands. GEORGE LAYTON provided the
voices for these airbrushed cutout capers. Pigeons played
minor role, as did classic '80s electro tom-toms (cf ROCK
SCHOOL).

TV CREAM immortality rating -
..."PIGEONS BEAT THEIR WINGS WINGS BEAT" ...EVER THOUGHT OF
A HOLIDAY?

Yeah it is a bit poppy but it's still a bit too weird to be
generally accepted by a crowd somewhere. As merg just said
it got to number 16 in the chart but then Joe Dolce got to
Number one in front of Vienna!
