I know this is an Ae MB but I'd just like to know if anyone
listens to Vs? and if so how is it? the samples ive heard
get me in the squarepusher mood..

the cd i ordered from warp is the album with the 7 digits
(cant remember the #'s off the top of my head) :)

2370894 i think it is.

that album is really more like a compilation mike paradinas
put together of stuff VS himself had no plans for....mmm
that made it sound like a bad album; ok, it's more like a
sampling of stuff he's messing with, not one entity, know
what i mean? it's a good album though, got a lot of nice
stuff on it.

This isn't an Ae MB at all, this is just an IDM forum, and
we have tons of off-topic discussions. Ae is just a big
focus around here.

i dont like this album '1923750913475 at all... i think it
has no cohesion and i cant bear some songs (there are a
couple of nice songs, like "stamina", what i used for a
short film...)
my favorite vs album is his last one on mu, but thats the
only one i have (apart from 1'475392475)...
withboas is really good and no as destructive as other vs
albums... and, imo, its really drukqs influenced... totally
recommended.

it used to be an aphex twin board, but that was long ago.
i think 237 is pretty good

I just love that technical shit. I luv the homebrew feel of
Venetian Snares. I luv the mixing up of old drum machines to
give them a new feel etc etc.

''I know this is an Ae MB''

Hahahaha!

Anyway, Venetian Snares is overrated, and I heard he has
disgusting teeth. But I DO like some of his stuff,
particularly Doll Doll Doll. Some off-kilter craziness on
that one.

"Winter in the belly of a snake" is a great release IMO.
Although i have to agree with ophie here and say that it's
over-rated. It's like a lot of folks went on this huge binge
of listening to VS but now it seems to be dying down.

i think he's 'over rated' because he's released so much is a
reletivly short space of time, and it's all been of a high
standard, so people are gonna talk alot, it's unfair to say
over rated, if anyones over rated its autechre and aphex
(i'm not saying they are, just people think they are)

hehe, this isn't an Ae board - it USED to be an aphextwin
board, but now it's a "electronic board" but deals with all
kinds of things, musical and non-musical.

i think vSnares improves with every release. Find Candace is
brilliant.

Word. Candace is imo his most accessible release. It's beer
music!

I saw his only music video, off the vsnares.com
site...Personal Discourse, supposedly he HATES that video
and wishes it would disappear. It's just a bunch of internet
violence/porn clips, kinda weird...
