I've suffered severe migraines since I was about 5. Did
anyone else in here get dealt the horrible pain card
by God?

I've been trying to figure out God's safeword... I'm
starting to think he doesn't have one. :-/

My grandmother used to get them. Sometime's she'd be
confined to bed for days or weeks at a time.

I had this haddock once that damn near killed me. For a few
hours that felt like eternity I was subject to blinding
incapacitating pain in my skull and could do nothing but lie
writhing and screaming softly. I think my mom was ready to
haul me in to the ER. I was worried that I had inherited the
family curse. But all my headaches since then ahve been bush
league.

My father and my mothers mother both get migraines, and I am
burdened with them, too. :|

I get the stomach equivalent. It feels like someone's
inside my guts dicing them up with a jagged piece of metal..
And the hallucinations. Oh, the hallucinations. I usually
end up in the ER with an IV and a cold draft up my skirt.

I feel for you.

How bad do you get them? Like, "Please, you don't
understand! This is the only way it's ever going to stop!!
PLEASEE!!" - throw yourself off a bridge bad? Or isn't just
"Just leave me alone. No. I'm fine.. I just need to lay
down. Leave and shut the door behind you." Or is it
somewhere in between? For me, every time it happens it
feels like I'm falling down a bottomless pit and it's never
going to stop and I'm going crazy.. I literally can't look
at anything but I can't close my eyes either because that's
even worse. My brain sets my stomach off and then the two
of them work together to bring about my demise.

i get them......8x10 i end up in the ER. have not had one
for approx 2 yrs...... but i get ones that make me sick for
several days tho.....but thats nuttin compared to
migraines/cluster headaches that make you wish you were
dead.

*btw.....women have a tendency to have more of these than
men.....how fair is DAT!!!*

Yeah, goddammit, I've had a few migraines, but luckily they
only happen once or twice a year. And it sucks because the
way I can tell i'm going to have one before it starts
hurting is a blind spot forms near the center of my vision
and makes everyone look like they have a demented black eye.
It freaked me out the first time, then my arms started
losing sensation and tingling and i was submitted to the
worst imaginable pain and nausea for a few hours and i puke
sometimes. its gay. totally.
