about my article on music and graphic design:

it is more about how arts are related, I am interested in
the drawinf part (not necessarily architecture, though that
would be great) but always drawing please

here are some things I am already writting about:

perhaps you should try with kim hiorthoy
he makes very nice music

he also does most (i think all) covers for rune grammofon -
a norwegian record label with some brilliant artists
(monolight, phonophani, arne nordheim,...)

if you want to know more about his drawings/paintings you
should ask surrounded to tell you something about it as he's
a big fan of his work

and his music is great as well!

here's a sample of his cover (it all seems pretty simple,
but its a lot like his music-simple but beautiful)...

just about the whole of the 4ad catalogue - pixies,
breeders, throwing muses, Kristin Hersh, Frank Black etc.

almost all album art was made by one man, Vaughan Oliver. I
have a great book with his designs. wonderful. :)

oh, and you have to check paul d miller (dj spooky) if you
havent yet, i was into his music before aphex and he is
great
he also does other art, so you check him out (he seems like
a pretty smart fellow, perhaps you could even contact him
and see what happens...)

here's a short info abot him:

Paul D. Miller is a New York based musician, conceptual
artist, and writer best known under his "constructed
persona" as "Dj Spooky that Subliminal Kid". He was the
first editor at large of "Artbyte: The Magazine of Digital
Arts", and his articles have appeared in The Village Voice,
Artforum, Rap Pages, Paper Magazine, The Source, and many
other magazines and journals. His art work is based employs
a wide variety of digitally create music and multi-media to
create a form of post-modern sculpture in the tradition of
composers such as John Cage and Afrika Bambaata. He has
collaborated with a wide variety of pre-eminent musicians
and composers such as Iannis Xenakis, Ryuichi Sakamoto,
Butch Morris, Kool Keith a.k.a. Doctor Octagon, Killa Priest
of Wu-Tang Clan, Yoko Ono and Thurston Moore from Sonic
Youth amongst many others. Miller's artistic work has
appeared in the Whitney Biennial, the Venice Biennial for
Architecture (year 2000), the Ludwig Museum in Cologne,
Germany, Kunsthalle, Vienna, The Andy Warhol Museum in
Pittsburgh. His most recent projects include the "Unfinished
Stories", a three way collaborative effort between the
Pulitzer Prize winning NY Times Critic, Margo Jefferson, and
Francesca Harper, a dancer and choreographer with Bill
Forsythe's Frankfurt Ballet company, as well as several
books and novels that will be published in 2003.
