(this is not an angrry dissing thrread)

I was looking about and I followed a link to a "goth"
website. They had some goth wallpapers which werre Skulls
and black landscapes. They had a link to a goth shop that
sold necklases with skulls on the end... etc... etc...

i was wonderring, arre therre any goths herre? if so can you
tell me whats with the darrk warr torrn urrban images and
skulls and eterrnal blackness?

Is this a worrld you would like to exist, orr a worrld you
like the idea of but arre glad doesn't exist? orr have i
missed the point?

(maybe an IDM site aint the place)

It's just expression I'm guessing. Which I'm down with.

I'm not a Goth, but everyone I know thinks I am... but I dig
that culture, actually. I don't like the lamers that overdo
it with the makeup and clothes and all that, but I like
subtle Gothic elements.

that whole double r's thing threw me way off at first.
interesting. makes me think of all the people who don't use
apostrophes. they use periods instead. is this just some
stylistic...thing?

i.e. you.re not me.

If that's what they gotta do, that's what they gotta do.. if
they feel they need to be caked-up in make-up then that is
all good. I don't got nothing against them unless they got
something against, aight?

I've never properly met a full-on Goth, something tells me I
never will.

I used to be Goth, but the whole "dark" "death" thing was not
me,I suppose the whole idea is just a rebellious thing.

Most goths i have met are weak people

They think they are intelligent than everyone else becuase
they are goths, and they take the tiniest thing and make it
depressing and make it look like it was an attack on thier
part

Not my cup of tea

I have no problems with goths. I dso think though that
"over-gothness" can make people look ugly as hell. Girls
with some goth features can be very beautiful though.

I cant stand those "gothic" people that wear loads of makeup
(this mostly applies to girls) and gross-looking clothes...
its not attractive at all, I dont think!

There are some boys at my school--Juniors, I think--who have
dyed black hair and wear big black pants and black Slipknot
and ICP shirts and call themselves "goth"--its funny. :D One
of them wrote "goth patrol" on his nametag, har.

We wear nametags at my school. :|

goth and punk and all that, those subcultures are really
boring nowadays. we need a new one. we need a GLITCH
subculture where everybody looks like something out of a tDR
book and they use really verbose language to each other and
hang out in laptop cafes

Is insanity wearing nametags at school, or is it the "goth"
kids who listen to Slipknot? ;)

The nametags are a safety feature. Each persons has his or
her picture and name on it, as well as a bar code. I have a
bar code! We wear them on lanyards around our necks. They
make everyone wear one because it would make things *safer*
if some kid tried to shoot up the school. But really, most
school shooters go to the school that they attack, so its
pointless.

Ive been around, but just havent felt really wanted here.
There arent always things that I can reply to, so I usually
dont. :)

Do they brand numbers into your arm aswell? I still think
that's a little over the top with manditory name tags, but
hey what can ya do.

actually. ;) I guess they are kind of like dog tags to
identify bodies in case of a school shooter--ack!!!!!! 0_o'
They dont make me feel any safer!

We had a bomb threat in my school last week and for the rest
of the week we're in "lockdown mode" meaning we can't bring
backpacks in and we can't walk outside in between classes.
But it's all so rediculous anyone could EASILY bring in a
bomb or gun anytime they want no matter what "mode" we're
in. All they're doing is creating more of a hassle. I don't
worry about anything happening though, because if it is it
is, nothing we can do about it. *goes back to listening to
jello*. Night

I wrote a good rant about my feelings about the nametags;
its on my diary under the "And I Hate" section. I was going
to post it in this thread, but this is about goths--not my
anti-nametagness. :)

So Ill go to bed too. Nighty night!

I've seen plenty of gothic gurlz and they're all, as they
would put it, hideously corpulent and vile beyond mortal
comprehension. I don't care how much Edgar Allen Poe and
Baudelaire you've read, you're still a pretentious asshole

I can't understand punk anything. The scene was dead on
arrival. A bunch of snot-nosed piss ants screaming and
shitting their pants on stage.. Wee. And that was at it's

'new metal'

i fuckin hate new metal.
theres a track on the new king crimson album that is a total
pisstake of new metal.. it's called 'happy with what you
have to be happy with' and if you hate new metal as much as
i do its worth dwnlding just so you can play it to people
who like new metal and watch their faces as they realise
what it's saying.
