Do you find yourself listening to different kinds of music
at different times of the day?

When I get up in the morning I can't really be doing with
anything crazy like Venetian Snares, so I'll put on
something very chilled, or soundssapey like :zoviet*france.

When I'm working I want something good, but which I can kind
of forget about, that doesn't demand attention. Autechre is
perfect for that.

When work's finished, anything goes so it's usually
something lively. When I start to feel tired it's back to
the quieter stuff and I'll often listen to something like
SAWII of Deep & Chilled Euphoria as I fall asleep...

Obviously more chilled out as it becomes night and then
early morning.

But any thing else for any time of day, doesn't matter.

Oddly enough, for me the crazier the music is the more
universal it is and I can throw on headphones and hear it
anytime, like confield or skrawking freejazz and it bypasses
my ears and stimulates my gloonshleenklon gland directly.

I don't like anything too mellow before 5 pm on a waeekday
or I start going into a trance.

I cant stand music when I'm trying to do hard work, because
all of the work gets in the way off listening to the music
and you can't take it all in, but every other time I listen
to music depending on my mood

such late at night.

Depends on the day. I usually find myself listening to more
up-beat music in the morning and more ambient music at
night.. obviously.

No pattern at all. Just last night it was 5AM and I was
sitting in the dark listening to The Monkees' ''Pleasant
Valley Sunday (which is one of the best pop songs ever
written once you get past the Monkees stigma, by the way!).

Imagine my surprise on seeing this topic and asking myself
'what the fuck is that about?', only to discover I was the
one who started it.
