STAR WARS = OVERRATED

I haven't seen any of the movies, and I think it's all
overrated.

(this is an attempt to gain some message weight, look at
that "episode n will be great" thread)

why do you like it so much? it's all brainwashing

how can you think it is overrated without having seen them?

lol its refreshing to read that
we are with you charles, star wars is complete shit
the old ones are great popular sci-fi movies tho

even the old ones are shit in comparison with other great
sci-fi classics like Alien and Blade Runner. The only good
thing I have to say about Star Wars is that it practically
re-launched the Sci-Fi flick industry.

no, it's a birth anomaly:

Very few congenital birth defects are as disturbing to the
eyes (and soul) of its witnesses than 'Harlequin Ichthyosis'
- commonly known as "Harlequin Fetus". In this rare genetic
disorder, which occurs in 1 in 300,000 births, babies are
born with a massive shell of dense plate-like scales and
contraction abnormalities of the eyes, ears, mouth and
appendages. Basically, wherever a fold would normally occur
in a newborn baby, these poor souls have cracks. Most babies
born with this condition die within the first few hours or
days after birth from the undernourishment caused by the
rigidity of the lips, and underventilation and pneumonia
because of respiratory distress. Abnormal water loss through
the skin and poor temperature regulation lead to risk for
infection beginning in the skin as well."

but now it's a Roman army centurion eating a sandwich,
unaware of the t-rex stalking behind him (:(=)

star wars is pretty lame - it was good when I was a kid -
episodes IV - VI DO have their special moments -- the best
thing about star wars were the star wars figures (and now
the star wars lego) I can barely watch one of the films
these days

The first are great (4, 5, and 6).

Ep. 1, and 2 doesn't have that Star Wars-feeling. :(

Okay, The original star wars trilogy is amazing. I just try
to pretend nothing else exists beside those. Ignorance is
bliss when it comes to George Lucas' new breed of crap.

I never see anything as "great for it's time" I only care
how good things are for "now",. which is why the old movies
don't impress me very much,

I'm a big fan of the original 3. i'm not impressed with the
new ones at all...i can see your point about how they're
over hyped and over rated. The last two just can't compete
on the coolness level the first 3 had.

kid. Blade Runner is awesome too... Anything with Harrison
Ford in his prime!
