when I was in sixth grade I needed stitches in my knee.. and the doctor said because only two stitches were necessary to close the wound there was no need for any anesthetic. so after my doctor had torn into the raw, unanesthetized flesh surrounding an open wound and sewn two stitches in, he decided, you know what? I'm thinking maybe we'll do four instead. needless to say, there was no anesthetic for the last two stitches either.. and needless to say that was by far one of the most painful experiences that has thus far happened to me personally.. though I think one of the worst things that could happen to you (and this is what car theives used to do to their victims) is to have you achillies tendon clipped.. if it is cut all the way through it rolls up into the back of your calf like a projection screen or one of those maps of the world your teachers never seemed to be able to master ... THAT would suck |
