Hi peeps, now dont laugh at me but i bought this bola album
many months ago on wax and love it to bits its one of my
top albums.
The other day my mate bought it on cd and he put it on when
i went to his house and straight away it struck me that i
was playing my album at the wrong speed !!!!
I was in shock because all the time i listen to it i played
it at 45 rpm.
Now before you start taking the piss out of me for being a
dumb ass i urge the people with this album on wax to give it
a try on 45 rpm its so much better (imo) i will never listen
to it at 33 rpm because now it sounds wrong to me and im so
glad i got it on record.
Please give it a try and let me know what you think.......am
i mad?

There's a Winamp plugin to change speeds - I'll have to give
that a try.

fyuti doesnt do it for me (one way or another)...
i mean i can listen to it, but i get nothing out of it-all
tracks seem pretty repetitive and not much diversed-but i
prefer it to lots of other releases :)

listening to it at 45 might be good as a novelty, but i find
it hard to truly appreciate the deep sound quilty at such a
high speed. 33 is the way to go.

Reminds me of a Warp quote "If it sounds good it's at the
right speed"

I think I did something similar with the Aphex 12" of "We
Have Arrived" :-(

dunno bout the 45rpm thing, but its a kicking reckord thats

mind, now that i think about it, i did that 45rpm trick by

veronex cyhpher... ahhh... such an amazing song. I don't
really enjoy the album (it's just nice imo, but
nothing truly spectacular), but veronex cypher... not enough
words can describe how beautiful it is. That track is
wonderful. That melody...mmm...

the "Drukqs" vinyl has some tracks at 45 and some at 33,
expressly for the purpose of slowing shit right down
methinks!

im a real speed junky.. always trying out new velocities
with tracks
