500 years in the future people will ask "what ever happened
to that one kind of music...what's it called?...ohyeah, IDM"
And then someone will ask "...'music'?...what is 'music'?
while they run comb filters through their hair...or we will
be in a world war with genetically engineered fish people
who i am breeding right now...im glad im not catholic [today
is put some ash on your forehead day]

Yeah, today sucks... my mom won't let me eat meat, and then
we had a big argument over whether or not fish (which we ARE
allowed to eat) should count as meat.

I want some fucking turkey.

500 years from now is incomprehensible. Technological
progress is accelerating. The future 50 years from now will
no more look like we imagine it than today looks like
visions of the future in the 1950s (flying cars, robot
maids, silver jumpsuits). And 500 years? Forget it, no
fucking way. It could be unbelievably intelligent
cybermandriods, it could be cockroaches and slime mold.

crossbreeding with the noble roach.

tv won't exist and will be replaced by a worldwide network
called MTV, broadcasting to mindless youth who have no idea
what they want but know that they want it now.

lets build some sort of megalithic structure that will
withstand the abuse of the elements for millions of years.
We can carve all of our knowledge inside it. That way when
space aliens or a future sentient race discover it, they can
all see how cool we were...

i wonder if there will be some sort of encyclopedia
britannica for music. they'll probably get the entry on
aphex twin all wrong.
"this duo was one of the forerunners of late 90's techno,
otherwise known as IBM."

IDM will be mainstream and there will be a select few who
listen to robot pop and hope it never gets mainstream like
idm --aphex twin will have replaced beethoven as an
important classical musician
