Gary Numan - I nearly married a human

What a great tune! It has all the wistful hopeful 70s sci-fi
yearning of a BoC sonic bonbon but unlike BoC it was
actually composed in the 70s.

It's a soundtrack for driving noiseless electric cars
through endless glittering tunnels, off to repair the
mandroids at the glass factory.

The whole Replicas album is classic. I could listen to it on
loop and be happy as a robot clam all day.

Funny, he gets dissed as being a Bowie imitator who didn't
do it quite as well but where's Bowie now? And Numan's early
classic work still sounds fresh and relevant.

Think I'll listen to Pleasure Principle next.

Was it because his music went straight to hell after
Telekon? :-)

I have the remastered Replicas, Pleasure Principle and
Telekon and the sound is simply stunning. Lots of extra
tracks too. The bonus tracks on Replicas are as good as the
originals - amazing lyrics.

he's not human, so why would he marry one? at least he's
made damn sure he doesn't look like one anyway! :)
