I wonder what freebies warp will send out with 26 mixes. I
hope it's some of these yummy chocolate coins.

He he, someone else who chews tin foil, eh?

This is very tempting... but I'm *still* going to boycott it
due to there not being a vinyl re-release!

I'll store the coins in a safe, and keep it as part of my
AFX collection

Buy in a box of 24 mars bars to eat when it arrives- it
should put you off chocolate for a bit...

belgian chocolate, these are one of the ultimate collectors
items ever. Coins are 55mm in diameter and come in a

The chocolate would go scatty after afew years- chocolate
coins tend to get that whitish coating after a year or so.

Damn this has made me crave chocolate. Time for an aero
and/or kit kat chunky when I get home...

Mr Watt:
It's available for *pre* order- you can't actually get it
yet.

i've pre-ordered mine.

i said before, don't pre-order with amazon or some faceless
corporation. WarpMart will send you the good stuff.

that aint no gimik.

my band once sent a reord label a demo in a refrigerator box
full of shreded paper. took em 5mins to find the disk, 20
mins to clean up the mess!

we didnt get a deal (obviously) but we did get there
attention.

£13!! Hmm, I'm not sure a chocolate coin is worth that
much, especially since it will indeed go "scatty" after a
couple of years (probably sooner). Now if it were a proper
metal medallion/coin....

I think I may boycott or order it from amazon (cheaper).

Well I've ordered mine. Depending on how the coin smells
I'll decide whether to eat it or not.

'cause 26 Mixes is on Warp and Lory D is on Rephlex.
Warp-released records are always available for pre-order far
earlier than other labels' stuff.

offline Spikee Dragon from Newcastle (United Kingdom) on 2003-02-26 03:45 [#00571362]
Points: 4176 Status: Regular | Followup to tolstoyed: #00571330

The reason is that Warp only distribute Rephlex records,
Warpmart is an online store and should really be thought as
a different thing to Warp records even tho they are both run
under one roof. Warp have more control over their own stock
rather then the stock they sell from other labels. Rephlex
are pretty good with their releases, I don't recall any
delay with their releases and normally you can get them from
warp mart a few days before the official Rephlex release
date.
