Think about it in this way. Every thread is Data uploaded to the main server. Then that is sent out to the x number if people on the board at the time. Someone adds to it that's more uploaded. Each new thread is however many Kb of data being sent to your computer. It may not seem much now but add it up over the month and that's a lot of fucking data for no reason. If all the shitty threads, including ones I've posted in, were not made then bandwidth would drop massively. |

No I'm not saying that at all. I was agreeing with Phob that the thread was a waste of space. There is nothing more important than peoples thoughts. I'm just trying to get across that maybe we should think more before we make a thread in future. If you want to try and discuss this a bit further mccabe feel free to e-mail me. in a way, mods and webmasters don't have to explain why they close the threads they close... because there is nothing we can do from preventing them anyway. all we could do is hate them - and then if it bothers them they'd just have to ban us and everything will be fine. |

It's true, if people questioned it, we could just close those threads and ban the people responsible. The reason I'm respondng and keeping this open is that I hope people other than Mccabe (who feel the same way) will read it and realise why. Also as Marlowe points out, we hope that in explaining things rather than just mysteriously deleting threads left right and centre people will realise it's for the benefit of the board (Christ, I sound like one of the pigs from animal farm now ;) ) that threads are closed. |

Hey, I always give a reason when I close a topic, and a clever edited pic for comic relief. And I always try to salvage the topics that are just kind of... there... for no reason. And the mods are all pretty forgiving, topic-quality wise. Phob is pretty hard, but it's his board and it's not a right to be here, it's a privelege.
