anything is The Two Towers, and that was wank

put all your money on Daniel Day-Lewis taking the best actor
oscar home with him.. best supporting actress is definately
queen latifah.. I'm kidding, it'll be Meryl streep for
adaptation. scorsese might win for best director (despite
not reeeally deserving it for the slightly flawed
gangs of ny) because he's yet to win one, and they might see
now as the best time for compensation for past negligence..
esp considering this was a real formal, stagey, almost
operatic effort on his part.. the stuff academy members love
... polanski won't win,, because he can't enter US borders
(well technically he can but you know.. the whole
'rape charges' thing sorta acts as a deterrant ;p) kidman
might take the best actress award because, .. well.. because
she made herself look unattractive, and was in a big
ensemble drama.. and she played virginia woolf so.. u kno
she kinda has to win.. .. best picture will
not be the two towers.. but did that even need to be
stated? ..no ...because of its flaws gangs/ny won't win
either.. but the whole overlooking-scorsese thing might
change that (he'll either win one or the other.. definately
not both)... I'm thinking chicago will win best picture..
because it, again has a big ensemble cast .. and is already
a proven hit.. with it being a tony-winning, long-celebrated
broadway remake and everything...

its done magnificent, but the movie is pointless-i saw the
same thing numerous times
i went to see it just because of polanski...

why 'minority report', a GREAT GREAT movie, was only
nominated for SOUND EDITING is beyond me.

it should also be in the following categories:
BEST PICTURE
BEST ACTOR, Tom Cruise
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR, that old guy
BEST DIRECTOR, Spielberg
BEST VISUAL EFFECTS <-- IT DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THAT, STUPID
OSCARS FUCK YOU, THEY ONLY NOMINATED THREE GOD DAMMNED
MOVIES AND MINORITY REPORT WASN'T ONE OF THEM,
AAAAAHAAHAHHAHHAAGRRRRRR

The oscars are a pile of pish, films that deserve to win
never do (remember what won last year,a beautiful
mind, hollywood slush that it was )and city of god wasn`t
even nominated (which i thought was better than gangs of new
york.....although scorcese does deserve an oscar, not
necceseraly for this movie though.........and daniel day
lewis must win for his performance,it would be criminal if
he doesnt).
From what i`ve heard chicago is ment to be crap as
well, although it should get an oscar for promotion :D,but
its good to see Hero nominated for best foreign film (even
though i havnt seen it,it does look great).

the oscars are bullshit. its the only time hollywood gets to
kiss its own ass...oh wait, no it isn't.
and where are city of god, adaptation and 25th hour?

Adaptation better win a couple of oscars. Seems like most of
the press is just ignoring it. Even with the announcements
of the nominees.

the lack of promotion for adaptation was intentional.

anyway, nominees ala msn

I'm not talking about lack of promotion on part of the
production company I'm talking about news and radio services
not even mentioning that Adaptation was nominated for any
award.
