Tell me guys all you know or think you know about all that
fantastic technic side of it all. What programs do he use(I
only know taht he uses ProTools for live shows). What
hardwere do he use. How can one identify his own synths.
What effects do he use. What technics andd tricks do he
use... Does he even use a MIDI Keyboard for melody or how is
that made... I think you get my point! This is fun, not
sirious...

he has something that he hooks to his brain that feeds into
fruityloops and then he lucid dreams and writes the tracks
in his sleep.

Ivé heard he uses three about computers now, and they are
all mac I think? Re-cycle for RDJA... a watermelon for
sampling and a cupuple of old golfballs for sequencing
and btw
he uses a swivi pro toilet cheer for shitting

autechre (from what ive seen) use:
2 Alesis MMT-8 MIDI sequencers
Access Virus
Macs
PCs
other stuff...

aphex (once agian, from what ive seen) uses;
Macs with -
Super Collider
Pro Tools
Maxx
Geek
Synton Fenix Synth (supposedly his favorite synthesizer
ever)

In the old days he did, like matmax said, use the TR series,
a TB-303, Amiga, and SH-101, but that was a looooong time
ago and now everything from RDJ album (which was done
entirely on a computer) on up is done of mostly on
computers. Of course he also has his Sonny Vaio laptop
running Traktor and god knows what else....

Yes- he draws in paint then changes the file to a .raw file.
All his tracks are made using just this method...

Sludge: re traktor- have you considered he culd make those
FX into the MP3s before hand?
