...for any reason ie sadness beauty memories. please also
tell why.

mine is: aphex twin - on, just for the shere beauty and that
it has also been one of the first afx songs i have heard

(and yet i realized this only a few weeks ago when it became
clear to me that on is the song with the lovely beach video
which i was really into when 15 or so)

and king crimson - starless

that song makes me feel uncomfortably sad. my bf loves it
and keeps playing it often and it somehow brings all our
fights to my mind.

Cheeky girls. (IT WAS SO TRAGIC!)

Kidding.

I think Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead. But it has an
optimism too...

that doesn't just make me sad, it puts me into a coma
(don't like morrissey)

two I can think of offhand...
this mortal coil: velvet belly/the jeweller
lone pigeon: touched by tomoko

Idiot Prayer by Nick Cave gives me tingles... not tears, but
a good reaction nevertheless

The Expeditions mix CD? That's a great mix album. I'm not
into the new sound they are playing, as on the Communicate
album.

Something that really gets me emotional and makes the hairs
on the back of my neck stand up is a live mix from Cornwall
by Sasha I taped from BBC Radio 1. Its amamzing.

Polygon Window's Quino-phec makes me happy/sad - fondly
recalling more optimistic times.

Anything by American Music Club - it makes me so sad i can
only listen to them once a year. The last two Bowie albums
distress me greatly as well, albeit in a nice way.

Oh god like every single Tori Amos song has made me cry at
one time or another. Never Seen Blue because it reminds me
of Spookyluke; Blood Roses because its so raw and the
subject is being used for sex; Playboy Mommy because its
about the death of a daughter (very sad!); Black Dove
because it reminds me of... me, somehow; Hotel because its
just so passionate... I will cry when things are Passionate.
The Cures Apart because its sad and reminds me of a breakup.

Im a big baby. *sheds tear*

Tori Amos Hey Jupiter; iieee; her version of the Cures Love
Song.

John Lennon: Mother; Love.

NIN: Something I Can Never Have; A Warm Place

The Cure: The Same Deep Water as You

Bjork: Pagan Poetry; Unravel (those reminds me of Spookyluke
too)

I could keep going, but I have to get ready for school. My
school is the only one here that does NOT have a delay due
to freezing cold weather. School was closed yesterday, and
today, even though its even colder and its a friday, we have
to go. >8( Those bastards!

Not having a delay makes me cry.

Hey Jude always makes me emotional, so does Let it Be and
Imagine... and most of Plastic Ono Band. And tons of their
stuff. Nobody makes piano ballads quite like those guys.

The only other music that makes me emotional like that is a
tiny handful of ambient IDM... Rhubarb and Vletmrx21 are two
of them.

Palestrina - Stabat Mater

it's a choirpiece in latin about mother mary who cries for
her son hanging on the cross....I think(I don't really
understand latin). I'm not religious but I think this song
is really beautiful and sad.

Beethoven: Stringquartet 13- Cavatina

For me this track pictures a person at the end of his/her
life looking back at everything that went wrong. Strangely
enough the movement after it(Grosse Fuga) is totally
different and quite insane.

Lots of songs can bring me to tears, all of em having vocals
in it, because they can make the emotion tangible.
Especially live sets can make it happen for me, like some of
the MTV unplugged work for example

Mine would be
radiohead - pyramid song
radiohead - knives out
