liam lynch - united states of whatever. they got this guy on radio 1 and interviewed him.. it took about a minute and 24 seconds to write that song.. he says he was just thinking about the line "united states of whatever" and thought he;d trya few random thoughts on it as a song.. went to his recording studio downstairs and just threw it together out of his head.. thats why some bits are marginally repeated, and in other bits of the song he is almost searching for the next lyric.. he's inventing it as he goes. liam observed that it is most annoying to spend months crafting a song that goes nowhere (his personal experience) then throwing together in less than 2 minutes something he considers a bit of a bag of shite.. that goes into the charts. irony... |
