I'm in a mood of producing some poppish/punk/rock

But I don`t even know how to hold a guitar...

What should I use to do this stuff?
Any software I should get, or any good samples?

I can`t learn the guitar for some whimsical desire like

It's like telling me to learn photagraphy and lightning

i guess you just have to sample some stuff? :(

uhm, you can kinda program chords into fruity loops

Do like a three power chord loop and add some basic drums.
That should be ok?

You should do it the way me and my brothers did recording
rock as young kids.... cassette tape recorder in the corner
of the room! :D

also you can sample rock songs.. anywhere where theres a
guitar..
i made a song where i sampled korn but totally tweaked it

Yeah, I like how Trent keeps it all in the computer these
days, he uses Pro Tools 5.

And I can't argue with his results! :D

i think you'll find most bands are recording to pro tools
nowdays. long gone the 2"magnetic tape.
