I love the Matrix! But it's kind of a guilty pleasure because parts of the movie are total crap (Keanu's acting, bits of the plot, etc, etc). But it's hard to find a better movie for sheer entertainment value. Can't wait for the sequels.

a friend's step dad's friend owns a company that does part of the special effects in the matrix, they have been hired to do the sequels as well, me thinks....

I thought the matrix was fantastic... those pictures look so cool... they have a hell of a challenge with the special effects methinks... if it's not totally innovative, and blow your mind cool people will be dissappointed, myself included... it's almost like you just watch it for the special effects...
I remember I saw the original in theatres, and was blown away... there wasn't much hype about it then, at least here, so I was surprised with it... I remember my friend dragged me to it, and I was pleasantly surprised to say he least...

I liked those pics...and cannot wait for the new films. I just hope they haven't just 'cashed' in on the success of the first film for the next two films..

The matrix was worth the money. Kept me entertained. I'm a sucker for good special effects, so I was glued to the screen.

I'm looking forward to the new matrices quite a bit actually.
the first one really surprised me. I thought it was top notch. I am certainly no fan of keanu, but, I actually thought his poor acting played into the part perfectly. and, as far as it's lack of originality, I think the directors purposfully borrowed effects and themes from other sources as a sort of homage, not a rip.
my only real complain was that they made the robots look too much like aliens. I mean pick one or the other. are they robots, or are they squidy type alien things? and how did those aliens/robots move? they kinda looked like they flew but where was the propulsion comming from? like they were swimming in the air or something. that was my one minor complaint.
two thumbs up overall.

the matrix is awesome. i luv and have watched prolly 100 times. i also think the matrix is very original in its special effects. after the matrix, people started doing that slow motion shit a lot. and it was put into video games.

Goddamm high speed kung-fu. Although they've blatantly nicked a load of moves from the film Driven.

The Matrix Reloaded in May, The Matrix Revolutions in November.
As for why haven't they released them yet. Well, for one there's all that marketing to be done and making sure they're released at the right time.
Also, I expect that neither are finished yet. Probably just some f/x tweakery still to do on Reloaded, but there could be more substantial f/x and editing work left on Revolutions.
