I'd like to get the actual record before I make such a
decision.

what's it sound like .. mm.. sort of gak crossed with hard
hitting 4/4 beats??

I'm just creating problems now as I haven't heard GAK.
That's on my to get list I've made.

It's much better than GAK, imo.

*** Bradley's Robot ***

A1 - Very original track with great rhythm and good sounds.

A2 - Track that remember me the ABB3, style.
B1 - Beautiful track with superlative ambient melody in the
background.
The rhythm is enough repetitive but melodies are really
great.
B2 - Enough fast track, full of power and energy. Mix
between ABB3 / Classic / Caustic Window styles.

*** BRADLEY'S BEAT ***

01 - Nice track, but enough simple and easy imo. Nice
melodies.
02 - Fast track. Nice.
03 - Harsh techno track. Dark sounds with an aggressive
bass. Maybe, too much repetitive.

Bradley's Robot better than Bradley's Beat imo.

GAK is enough boring, imo. Nothing special and it doesn't
seem AFX music.

offline korben dallas from nz on 2002-10-18 04:26 [#00408051]
Points: 4605 Status: Regular

giginger: GAK .. mmm... is a nice idea, but i don't think it
got quite pulled off. Its sort of early 90's 4/4 stuff, with
square wave 303 riffs ... if that helps at all. But it's got
a much blunter/warmer feel than some of the harsh 4/4 techno
you might associate with Classics - damn. This isn't
working.

I guess the best way is to d/l and see for yourself. Nothing
earthshattering or groundbreaking, but some nice little
tunes :)

Woofer, yeah totally agree .. but on a large scale
comparison, gak is all that i could think of .. ie the type
of beats used. But yeah .. BR def > GAK, and BB slightly
better than GAK ???

I want Bradley's beat part 2c. It supposed to be on promos
of the re-issue. (The one with a tiny label on as apose to
the bigger one.)

Thanks for the descriptions Woofer and Korben. I have a
better idea of what it sounds like now. Still going to hunt
it down though.

Today, I'm really enjoying Untitled B1 from Bradley's Robot.
I suggest this track to everybody who loves AFX melodies.
The sounds in the background remember me also some melodies
of first Autechre. Great track.

Giginger; you can find all of them on mp3. GAK isn't good.
Repetative and boring. Track 1 is OK, though.
