PUFFY RULES!!!!

or outside of Japan they are known as Puffy AmiYumi,
actually.

I've got their compilation "Illustrated History" and an
import from Japan called "PRMX - Puffy Re-mix Project:
Licensed to Skill". Both are excellent!!!

*whew* for a minute I was worried that this thread was going
to be an actual discussion on Sean "Pussy" Combs moniker
decisions.

;)

Well, all the songs are by Puffy, and every remix I listened
to was excellent, so I can't say it wasn't worth the extra
money, but I confess that I didn't recognize any of the
names of the remixers, though. Probably because most of
them were Japanese, but I dunno.

A few good remixes of J-pop artists is the Computerhell Full
Vocal Mix of Ayumi Hamasaki's "Vogue" (although I'll have
you know, the remix is done by Junkie XL, but none of the
vocals in the original that were done by Ayumi are actually
in this version.) and the Warp Brothers Remix of Ayumi
Hamasaki's "Still Alone".

I myself am very obsessed with Japanese culture and all that
shit, and Japanese music. In fact, my second favourite dj
ever is Satoshi Tomiie, who is Japanese but is now famous
worldwide.

Hmmph I really can't say that Puffy themselves are that
sexy. That chick in your avatar Mr. Tenzin, is certainly
cuter than either of the chicks in Puffy. And on a
Muchmusic interview I watched with Puffy, their
Japanese/English translator was also hotter than both of
those girls in Puffy. . . go figure. ^_^ Ah well, Ayumi's
certainly sexy, at least.

did cornelius, buffalo daughter, or cibo matto remix
anything on the puffy album?

also, have you seen the 2nd vampire hunter d movie? came out
a couple years ago

offline Deathsmith from Brussels (Belgium) on 2002-07-03 01:21 [#00294133]

No none of those artists you mentioned do any remixes on the
album. However there are remixes by Bad Attitude,
Watermelon, Freddy FRESH, Fantastic Plastic Machine, and
other folks. (I still don't know who any of those guys i
just mentioned, are though. They just sound like they might
be more well known than the other remixers on the cd, that's
all.)

And why the hell would I see the 2nd Vampire Hunter d Movie?
what does that have to do with Puffy AmiYumi?

Well of course you'd think that, far-east monkey!!! You're a
Japanese Aphex Twin fan. ^__^ You feel the same way about
j-pop that we feel about Britney Spears and *Nsync. -_-

And yes I am into the Japanese culture in general but come
on I haven't seen every anime/manga movie EVER, not even
some of the most popular ones!!!

And anyway I actually am sorta getting over my anime/manga
phase. I used to be into it, and I still enjoy it, but I'm
not obsessed with it. . .

I am actually annoyed by all those stupid Americans who go
crazy over anime crap; it's nothing really special, after
all. Some of it is good, some of it is shit, just like any
other form of entertainment.

uh, it was a fair question considering your remark and the
fact that the first VHD anime remains one of the best and
most popular films of the genre (or in my opinion, one of
the best films in any genre).

Oh sorry, I didn't mean it to sound uhh . . . racial. I was
just joking. . . apolgies, my friends. It was just a really
stupid remark, I didn't mean it to be offensive. The only
thing I've actually got against Far East Monkey is his
slightly odd avatar, which I am none too fond of, but then
again my own avatar isn't particularly pleasant to look at,
either. ^_^

Anyway now I feel really guilty and ashamed, and with good
reason I guess, I just want you guys to know that I take it
back and I didn't mean it and I'm really sorry, especially
to Far-east monkey.

But come on you of course know I'm not racist. . . if I was,
why would I be a fan of Puffy, anyway, or obsessed with
Japanese culture.

And anyway it wasn't THAT bad. . . I mean basically I was
just calling him stupid, and identifying his nationality in
a dumb way. I wasn't stereotyping or anything, right?
And I know he isn't stupid just because he got offline, but.
. . yanno.
