What artists are you into?

I can't really say I'm INTO some artist.
I know a lot about Aphex twin,and I have 8 cd's by him,but I
don't call this 'being into' .There's still so much afx I
have to discover...

Is it possible to really know everything(or at least
a lot) about an artist?
And know all his music?
There's soooo many artists out there that I want to 'get
into' but I have only two ears... =(

What artist(s) are you INTO?
or who do you WANT to get into?

I know a lot about Buckethead but still not everything. He
was in lots of groups in the mid 80s to early 90s that have
out of print recordings. I have 6 of his solo CDs plus one
by Praxis (Buckethead, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worell, Brain,
and someone else who I'm forgetting).

I also know lots about Tool..

Of course it's no suprise that I'm a Beatles junkie, I have
every official release they have and I VORACIOUSLY, yes,
VORACIOUSLY hunt down rare MP3s by them, bootlegs and such.
And I listen to them as if it was God himself in the studio
writing great pop music. I've got the Beatles Anthology book
and the 8 video set, and I've watched the whole thing many
times... WHOLE FOOKIN' THING. I know too much about them,
and I love them almost as much as I love my mommy. I would
fucking KILL to be on stage with them, in that trademark
suit, playing a Rickenbacker. To hang out with them in Abbey
Road studios and make music with them would be my dream, I
SO BADLY WISH I could be a Beatle. When all these other
artists are buried in the sands of time, the Beatles will be
forever fresh.

Other artists that I'm MAJORLY into are Aphex Twin (yup),
Pink Floyd, The Who, Radiohead... I guess those are the big
ones.

line-up. Sometimes including Buckethead (I wondered why your

I think so too, and I think they criticise him because it
seems like he's trying to be "experimental". though there's
a definite chronological progression between his works, I
don't think he's trying to be forcefully weird or
experimental, he just wants to make emotional, honest music.
he's very cohesive, too...that's becoming kind of rare in
the genre, besides BoC.

he's very balanced, I think.

Surprised a few people on this thread haven't gotten into
Jega. Well, if you are to, then Geometry is probaly the
album for you(IDM).

My personal preference is Spectrum(drum/drill 'n' bass) his
first release. If you can find it, I'd suggest getting this
one first.

Also, from what Planet-Mu said, it sounds like Jega's new
album will go back to his roots of Spectrum and add some
elements of Geometry into it.

To anyone else, check out Plod on Worm Interface Recordings.
The song: 'What happens to the hole when the cheese is
gone' is damn good.
