I haven't noticed a topic about this album before....
I haven't got this one...
When I look at the sleeve I get the strange feeling that it
isn't a real aphex twin album for some reason...

But ehm, what do you think of this one?
Should I go out and buy it?

i don't dig it personally...toooo much x0x drum machine.

anyways...i'd at least give it a few listens...good rythms,
even thought they are 606, 808, and 909.

actually, if you want to get blown away from a harsher cd
that you'll never discard from your cd player (if you like
slightly harsher stuff), get "making orange things" by
venetian snares/speed ranch, off of planet mu.

i can't stop praising this cd...easly one of the best i have
listened to ever.

I'm listening to it as we speak. Not bad I'd say. A lot os
nice old AFX techniques. Indeed there is a lot of X0X but
the way he uses them is sublime. definately worth getting.

Its definitly a important release for x0x series equipment
IMO.
Play a CD like this to remind me how great they were/are.

If your a RDJ fan, get this CD.

I think it's one of his best...some great dark Acid/Ambient
moments in there...

& all the tracks work so well together...it was really his
first album (as SAWI was really a collection of older
tracks)...

I'm trying to think of somethng bad about it but i really
can't...

I just bought the re-release so as to get the new tracks ( I
have the vinyl from the first time round :o) ) they are not
bad either. Not very strong but like jand says they all fit
together well.

you can see why those 2 tracks were left off
originally...they're not as good as the others...more GAK
like that anything (different sort of vibe...)

I guess it was a mini-money spinner for WARP tho...I know I
bought another copy just to get em...kinda kinky behavior
but it's 2 new old AFX tracks so you can't complain
really...

Excactly! I just found out that the CD version of AB4 has an
extra track too. Fuck should I buy it just for 24seconds of
slurred speach?

I need help. I have been colecting is stuff since the day I
heard it back in '92. Does nayone know if there is an AFX
ANONYMOUS please.......

'If It Really Is Me" is pretty good too.

what do you mean by "anonymus afx"??

i dunno if it´d be worth it only for the speech - i got it
and it´s funny, but no must-have imo, really ...

doki: Quernstone was referring to Alcolics Anonymous for
people addcited to alcohol...do you have that in
Germany?...

Quern: this place is a good as any as a home for AFX
Anon...I'm in the same boat...

and I love that "If it really is me" track...it's so simple
but sooo beautiful & hypnotic...

how old is that CD?
it has always been a special order for me, but costs way too
much to import, if it is still even available.

My name is Quernstone I'm 26 and I come from Padova. I have
a problem I would like to share with you all.........

That quino-phec track is so sawII. Don't you think?

Yeah, RDJ has re-used stuff on several releases. I think
this track is a pre-cursor the sawII stuff.

of the two new tracks on SOSW I think Portreach Harbour is
great, but the other one isn't quite as good... SOSW is
good, but not great in my opinion... I like it better then
SAWII, but I would probably say it's his second worst
release... I just can't get into SAWII at all...

I personally like the album a ton. Audax Power is a really
nice track, if you want to here one before purchasing it.
I'd grab this one if I were you, I mean c'mon it's RDJ.

Yeah, I'm not too big on SAWII either. I really like Cliffs
a ton, but that's about it.
