I'm selling my Shamen singles on ebay, in case anyone's
interested. EUR1 each.

you'll be lucky...

(only kidding...I did actually like The Shamen before they
turned into a Cartoon band...after Will Sinnott died; they
kinda lost it...)..

You thick Yorkshireman.

Its the lovely Katie Holmes from that shite programme
Dawson's Creek. Ain't she a cutie though?

I still think Boss Drum is a boss album. Hey jonesy, get
it?

I think I'll still hold on to my Boss Vid for nostalgia
sake.

The pre-Move Any Mountain stuff is worse than the
post-Ebeneezer Goode though.

I have the "arbor bona arbor mala" album. It's pretty nice,
reminds me a bit of FSOL Lifeforms.

questions:

1. what singles are they?
2. what is a EURO?

the MBM remix of 'hyperreal' is fantastic. definitely
recommended.

And the original single version of 'Pro>Gen' is fantastic
too, an indie/electronic crossover that changed the
direction of music at the time (this version was before they
changed it to 'Move Any Mountain' and got Mr C involved.)

thats WHEN mr. c got involved, when they were filming that
video for the re-release of progen and he pushed that guy in
the swimming pool....allegedly

yes, but have you ever seen the original video for pro>gen
(pre-mr. c) ? it's much better...

Yes, it was a limited bonus album. It's long out of print
but worth a look if you come across it.

Transamazonia
Phorever People
L S I
Boss Drum

also the Hempton Manor album.

I also have that very Progen CD you're talking about but
haven't put it up yet. Did you know it's a 3"?

I also have a brand new copy of the Girl/Boy EP up, as I
already have it on CD and don't really need the vinyl
version. Also EUR 1.

i think ANY music video is better than the one for Move Any
Mountain, core! I've got Boss Vid and half the videos (not
the music) are TERRIBLE! Just messing about with graphic
effects.

Move any mountain was a top video. Wilf Sinnot died during
the filming of it. It was filmed in Tenerefe where I used to
live.

Ebeneezer Goode is my favourite video, just for the fact
that I'd see it every Thursday on Top Of The Pops as a
little kid because it wouldn't budge from Number 1.

2 more days to go... then they're gone.
I'm putting up Polygon Window - Quoth on CLEAR VINYL today
as well because I need the money. I really don't want to
part with this but I'm going to have to :(

Question:

Why the fuck is the Shamen being talked about on and AFX
message board. You needed to be drugged up to the eyeballs
to like that shite.

Shamen, dats a name reminding of 90ies... ahhhh good years
for electro music...

That's not quite fair Darth manchu, the earlier stuff really
was quite good, some of the later stuff like their album UV
was terrible though, i'll agree with you there.

Weeell, about the time of the Shamen, i was deep in my indie
roots (i still listen to supergrass, ithangyewveymuch) so
anything with out guitar/bass/drums i didnt want to know
about.

Supergrass are brilliant, I've never seen them live but I've
been a fan from the start. My sister saw them live recently
for free, really enjoyed it,....the cow ;P
