this is a serious question, so no daft answers please!

if your favourite electronica artists were to produce cover
versions of famous songs... who would do what song?

Autechre - Washing Machine (Sonic Youth)

Not a famous song but i think it would be very interresting
to see what Autechre would do with Sonic 's noise

I'd like to see the Chemical Brothers make their version of
the verve's Bittersweet Symphony.

That would rock!

*bump*

indeed it would rock a lot....the chemical brothers could
pull of some good covers of other genres i bet

i can't really think of much else, cuz i don't listen to
many artists outside of electronica :-\

exposed to other excellent music outside of idm!

back to the topic, i thought of this a few minutes ago...
cinematic orchrestra covering "africa" by d'angelo. not
quite as interesting as the other 2 i came up with, but more
sincere

argh..I hate this concept..Cleopetra kept releasing these
tribute albums of Industrial artists doing covers of
Madonna/AC/DC/Van Halen/Metallica..and they all sucked
balls...ugh..
on the same note..I do like the covers Marilyn Manson did of
I put a spell on you..and Sweet Dreams..

But there is a glitchy cover of Barbie girls on Badrorb.com
Bless...which is rather amusing...
