Why u dont like the new Prodigy

u used to love them... u used to think Liam Howlett was the
fucking daddy in 1997...

Then after listening to Aphex, u began think Liam was the
daddy no longer. Then you heard Squarepusher, and had your
ears torn off. Then you heard Ae and loved every
ear-shredding track, and now finally u like BoC's nostalgic
ambience as well....

So in the year 2002 you have heard so much of the WARP stuff
and their progression, Liam Howlett dosen't mean shit to
you.

Upon hearing 'Baby's got a temper' your predictions of a
non-progressive Prodigy have come true. This record could
have been released 8 years ago.

Liam is no longer the fucking daddy. He's not even the
fucking daddy's son, or a relative of the fucking daddy.
He's just another admirer of the true fucking daddy, as
proved by the 'Experience' Sleevenote ("respect going out
to:... Aphex Twin...")

am i right??? :-)

yea i liked experience. everyone did back then. same with
the klf, but for some reason they became cult and the
prodigy became 'crap'

the prod were quite cult on the old happy hardcore circuit.

And 'music for the jilted' was a great album.

with 'fat of the land' they started going too up their own
arse, and thats where they remain today.

they think they're the fucking daddys.

Liam was never THE DADDY or THE MAN ! Prodigy brought the
"Breakbeat Rave sound" from the underground, to the
MAINSTREAM and thats all. There were tons of PRODIGESQUE
records released back in the early 90s !

well, 'fotl' was the first electronic cd i ever bought, so i
guess i gotta have respect...no wait, i don't have to have
any respect, the prodigy fucking suck. sure i used to like
them back in the day, but that was before i heard aphex,
autechre, and boc. hell, radiohead are a better electronic
group than the prodigy. liam is just...aight. thats all i
have to say about that....

music for the jilted generation is the greatest album ever.

I've said it before; Baby's got a temper is shit! They have
lost all sense of good melodies, and are compensationg with
the litte punk rat (forgot his name) screaming even more
then before. Sucks!

keith flint is the little punk rat u speak of.

i just think its a shame they haven't progressed at all. I
hope the single flops.

Apparently their live gig in USA a few weeks back went shit
as well, no one could be bothered with them, and Maxim
started getting vexed and shouting "we're not here to fuck
around".

i think they might be past their sell by date.

They've become tabloid fodder, using their identity to sell
records rather than the music.

Same kinda thing that happened to Goldie

maxim's solo record was FUCKING SHIT, and quite rightly
pooed upon by every journalist from here to calcutta.

Leroy must have seen that the Prodigy have nowhere new to
go, and so abandoned ship. He didn't do much anyway did he??

posion the single is from march or april '95 but the track
was on music for the jilted generation which was released in
summer '94. I'll never forget getting that album. The third
CD I bought and the first decent one. I can still listen to
that today and it still fucking rocks. The singles of Fat of
the land are all excellent but the rest is just filler.
Serial Thriller? Fuel My Fire? Complete bollocks!
