Powerpill was an early side project for RDJ,to make some
money while in High school,so he could get some money to
keep buying equipment and therefore make the music he always
wanted to make,electronic.....Those are 4 different versions
of what he thinks Pacman should really sound....Nice dancey
tune plus lots of pacman samples, mixed them together with
music, only RDJ can make........Yes it is a rare one... ===)

cheers...I know the story bedind the release but as it's the
fist time I've come across a Cassette Single version I guess
it's slightly rearer than the 12"/7" release...

I dunno....No way will I ver sell anway but it's nice to
have some idea of value (epecially considering the bargain
amount I paid...the othe formats seen to got for crazy
money...)..

Yeah my friend Jand, because there are some mega-rare release
of the 12" vinyl, there is an orange colored vinyl, that one
usually goes for like more than $75.00,pretty insane
considering is just 4 different versions of the same
song........But still think the cassette is rare too so
don't even think about selling it my friend.......Cheeers..

yeah...agreed, Vampire...

It's anal I know to be a vid AFX collector...but with music
of this quality (the ony sort if can relate to nowaday),
then I'd rather be anal than colect mindless stuff like
Stamps, coins, beenay babies...so yeah, NO WAY i'd sell...

Afx is my culture, i guess...no-one else has constanly
delivered the goods...

Jajajajah Jand,I'm like that in that sense,I just collect
AphexTwin(and his aliases) stuph like original hard-to-find
vinyls and cds, plus starting my Squarepusher rarest stuff
too...That's the only thing I want to collect for
now, something that is very valuable for me........

wouldn't it be funny if richard d. james was a collector of
jand fetish items, like q-tips he threw away, used tissues,
etc.

Jand: I never knew there was a cassette version - have you
gotten it yet? I fear you might have gotten a DIY cassette
with some laser copy inlays (I hope not for your sake).
Scans of it for watmm.com and aphextwin.nu would be nice as
well if it's legit ;O]

Then again, I never knew there was a 7" version of PACMAN
until last year either!

I think Jand is right.

Woolies was cheap way back when. If only I had bought it
too. You lucky man Jand.

I love the way Woolies offers singles that have just left
the Top 40 for absurdly cheap prices. Every time I'm over in
England I always buy singles for 49p or 99p which I find in
HMV for £4.99 and upwards!

I have all the powerpill tracks on mp3, and I don't
especially like them, but I suppose it would be cool to have
an original...

a good find, jandy.

Jand, i have the same feelings about this. I rembember me
too seeing it in the record shop 10 years ago. Why i haven't
bought it? :=(

At the time, I didn't realise Powerpill was an AFX
release...

Was seen as a bit of a nolvety tracks back in those
days....like so many of the odd rave tunes around then...

but yeah, really chuffed to find it at the price...good old
ebay; if you're patience enough then something interesting
comes along sooner or later...
