what? that triple X movie was the stupidest trailer in the
whole bunch. looked like The Fast and the Furious II (not
suprisingly produced by the same poeple). what a load of
(pardon the term) horse shit. that'll sell to every mocho
ass meathead on the streets. can't imagine liking that sort
of thing.

its probably marketed for those who use the term "kick ass"
without irony, while Spiderman was marketed towards those
who use the term "fucking dope"... Hollywood knows what it
is doing....

yes and no.

yes: macho man randy savage was cool, bruce campbell's
cameo, stan lee's cameo, william dafoe and the jonah jameson
part (i think that's his name, i'm not big into the comic).
and the small part parker posey had was cool, though she's
COMPLETELY "sold out."

bad: tobey mccguire and kirsten dunst (though it was fun
staring at her).

there was this real light sam raimi feel to it, but
unfortunately, the majority of it was hollywood formula
summer blockbuster stuff. the stuff with william dafoe's
son was cool too ... i think i would have loved it if it was
a total sam raimi film. had some really good shots too,
like when he's starting to crawl up walls

but the bruce campbell cameo was GREAT!

its WAS very good....some of the dialog was kinda weak, but
whats newe in Hollywood...All in all a 7 or 8 outta
ten...HULK preview was dope=)

i didn't like the hulk preview. i know it was a teaser, but
i didn't want to see the house cracking open. i wanted to
see a bit more. it's not like it had to be a lot, just
something

I thought it was great! Spiderman was always my boyhood
idle -- I coudn't even begin to count how many times I've
fantasized about saving Mary Jane from danger; whisking her
away above the city streets tight in my arms..
Tobey Mccguire and Kirsten Dunst were both very good.
Mccguire has sort of a shy demeaner that fits the part of
Peter Parker... As the movie unfolds he starts to transform
into the wise-cracking spidey that we all...well, some of
us..--er, a couple of us here know and love so well.
Anyway, as far as bringing the comic book characters to
life, they get an 'A' in my book. The way they captured
Spiderman's webswinging was especially impressive..

hehehe ...

the web slinging stuff was great, like him going through the
city. it looked cgi, but they're getting pretty damn good
at it. some of the actual web shooting looked bad (in my
opinion). i doooo want to see it again, cause there were
some great parts. but the thing that bugged me was the
relationship between mj and peter parker. two things, one:
it might as well been any other movie (pathetic guy likes
popular girl, popular girl secretly likes guy, but has jerk
boyfriend ...), and two, my spider-man suave friend was
saying the story wasn't like that in the actual comic.

it just bugs me that they would replace, what apparently a
fine story to begin with, with a hollywood summer
blockbuster formula. it's like they wanted it to be risk
free

it was very comic bookesk yes. my spiderfreak buddy said yes
there were a few elements changed about (like anyone would
expect for a film, and not just a fomula one) but he was
very impressed w/ it. example: an original radioactive
spider becoming a genetically engineered spider for the
film. a few insignificant updates for a story thats now 40
years old.

i happen to catch this one. Uncle Ben's car (the yellow one)
was the Ash's car from Evil Dead. Stan Lee wasn't even on
the screen for half a second. what the dillyo?

when the green gomblin first attacks the building where his
son and mary jane are up on the balcony. when you see
people running on the street, you see stan lee right in
front of the camera for about half a second

Spidy was pretty bad. I wanted to like it, and I was
rooting for him in the end, but the CGI was pretty fucking
bad.

The shots they set up were lame-o. Dunno, just didn't do it
for me. Even $5 felt like a waste......
