As for when - I think ending it when it began on June 3rd would be a nice bookend. Again, I really appreciate all your support and help over the years, and I hope you understand or at least can appreciate my decision, and ask that you continue to be respectful of the site and your fellow members." |

he did reply to that and i think he wants the watmm name like retired and called something else and he wants the site completely shut down so its really the end of watmm. obviously he cant stop how it continues well at least just the name of whatever replaces it. thats if something replaces it. i have been part of reddit, discord lol it never seems to take off. maybe its just the "forum" aspect itself that lends itself to a better sense of community. idk, but its sad nonetheless.. he does has a point. |

Yeah retiring the WATMM name and his association with it is fair enough, if someone starts a new forum and migrates all the previous 25 years or whatever of posts that will be the best solution deffo |

Someone got contact from Phobz two ish years ago so he’s probably still alive and anyways this site runs off the continuing royalties of “on”, can’t see it ever going away. Richard would want it that way. |

Hello, zazen the watmmer here. The mods from watmm are going to create a 'successor' forum which (after a vote) will be called keyosc Its not quite up yet but I saw a preview and it was an invision-powered forum. Also people have been scraping the important content from watmm to preserve it so we hope it will be online somewhere at some point Please come and join us at keyosc though, once its up.... |

Apart from the wayback machine - I assume some stuff from watmm is already archived at archive.org ? Wild guess, haven't checked. That's what I would do/do with music stuff I value/don't want to lose. Ofc nothing is 100% safe in any cloud, as recent hack attack on archive.org proved. |
