lewis and i saw it last weekended in the theater. theaters in the US have rather upped their game. there is a bar in the lobby and then you can get a big comfy chair with motorized everything and press a button and someone will come over and fetch you another beer it was actually alright. they'll never top terminator 2, but it felt more like terminator 2 than the other modern ones. was lovely having both linda and ahnold onscreen together again. as some critic put it, they should pull the plug after this; stop making new ones so they can go out on a relative high-note also, , esp. when he pushes over the laughably crappy-looking cardboard robot man. whole thing is almost like a joke about modern movies, but, no, it's not, this is how they film all that CGI shit. on a tiny claustrophobic green-screen with people in crappy halloween costumes. actually gives me a lot more respect for any actor who manages to seem convincing after all the graphics are overlaid |
