I have one of my mate Colin's very very old tracks to share
like 15 years old when we first started arsing around on
cubase and used the default sounds, i think its quite
charming, just uploading it now, i couldnt find the one i
wanted.

brilliant everyone will love it, then i went to bed and got
up and listened to it and it was the biggest piece of shit
id ever heard

yes you have to do it for your own benefit, im my own worst
critic but its good to be like that

later on my mate got a log cabin and we had a few hardware
synths in there and we did tons and tons of tracks,

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2016-07-04 22:33 [#02498863]
Points: 31007 Status: Lurker

we had loads and loads of basic shit ones like we shared
before we made stuff we liked, having real synths or
something that sounds good like reason really helps

never touched an hardware except the sk1

i always wonder if you can get tunes more easily from there

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2016-07-04 22:36 [#02498865]

i suppose its easy to get melodies if you have a full
keyboard in front of you, the advantage to hard ware is that
its so much fun to play around with, cos you are in italy i
bet you could get some quite weird stuff that was only made
there

to be really good at using a software, you have to stick to
the first version you learn. unfortunately, i updated
operating system, changed computers and therefore software
versions. i lost touch with reason with the updates, same
for cubase, ive had the one and only cracked version for
mac, good times

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2016-07-04 22:39 [#02498867]
Points: 31007 Status: Lurker

yes your exactly right with that its a massive pain in the
arse when you need to upgrade your pc for security reasons
and you have to install the latest version of cubase and
you think shit how does this work, i probably need a
seperate pc disconnected from the the internet

loooooool

i took mushrooms once in amsterdam, i thought i was trapped
in a hansel and gretel fairytail at the start with the
buildings crowing round me in green, and my mates face
looked like a moai statue or a goblin, later on i got used
to it, it was funny cos it was normal then i turned round
and said to my mate "should you head be that fucking big",
then i said ah "its kicked in"

to be honest i felt alot less depressed for some month after
it was a very positive experience over all, it makes you
realise how grey and static your mind becomes, its like
someone lifts a veil on a beautiful landscape, thats just my
experience of it

loose your perception of linear time, you seem to teleport
around wondering how the hell you ended up were you are, we
had to find a ceephax gig in the middle of Amsterdam were
all the streets make it looks like a giant maze while high,
god knows how we got there in the end

you can lose yourself in amsterdam for sure, streets look
all the same. some parts of london are like that, too

yeah kind of normal to feel depressed after you take some
drug for the first time. once i was in amsterdam, i was
smoked out, quiet, sit on a bench and a british guy comes
all stupefied saying he had taken mushrooms, then he sits
with me and then there was silence, with him babbling
something for time to time, this was my face:
