Is art school these days considered legitimate, or merely a
way if separating people with dumb shallow kids from their
money.

Well, it's obviously less impactful than whatever you took
as a dumb shallow child; you managed to grow into a dumb
shallow adult.

Props to the education system.

it's best to coddle your children throughout the early years
with a montessori school. however, for high school, you'll
want to begin to introduce them to the true harshness of
scholarly aspirations with a high school that focuses on
"the classics," "rigorously," via forcing students to
translate virgil into the wee hours despite there being no
clear benefit or reason for doing so. then you assemble a
crack team of experts to squirt them up the anus of harvard
like an enema

The ones that try and teach you what art is tend to produce
sheep.

Schools can be useful to learn the history, basics, and also
having successful artists coming for talks can broaden
minds.

I lived for 8 years with someone who was half blessed, half
cursed by having been to a good art school. Some things were
so deeply rooted into her mind that it blocked the child in
her.

A similar thing happens with musicians. Those who go to
school, and become professionals clearly posses something
incredible, but lack the spontaneity and childlike approach
certain non-academic musicians have.

Basically stay candid. Art Schools can kill that part of a
person.

Do you have friends who are in art school, djhardcode, do
you know people who went to such a school?
