It's a bit like a forced meme (pronounced to rhyme with wee-wee). The origin of the DubTurbo reference, as we all know, is both sad and funnt, truly tragic. Phobiazero returns after a lengthy haitus promising a new dawn, asking for donations to enable the final push, has some exciting news.. Expectations were cautious but there was hope. Then that hope, faith, fragile belief restored just 24 hours earlier, was smashed and had shit rubbed in its face with the career endingly bad decision to promote DubTurbo and some horrificly worded sales pitch about "monetizing your beats". If anything DubTurbo merits a more sophisticated use rather than just "DubTurbo, lol" - for me it represents bitter disappointment, disingenuity, contempt for your users, and pity for the site's clearly troubled owner. no offence u guys but any1 who thinks this site is anythign but a adsence $ generator for phobia zero is daluding themselfs phobia zero NEVER put any work into xltronic, its not new that nothing changed ever why dont u try to make a list of stuff that ACTUALLY CHANGED since the site was aphex twin.nu 1. he made it so u could pay money to be a premium member or watever and get ur name in bold (still works i think?) 2. he made picture uploading (i dont think it works anymore?) 3. he made changed the size of avatars u could upload (but u cant upload at all anymore) 4. there was that random image thing (gone) 5. 260+ pixels xltronic v2 space was added sometime (still there) 6. he changed the way ranks work ie u used 2 be a wizard etc (still works) 7. various changes relating 2 the christmas bear and that ?% symbol 8. 1 christmas he made it snow 9. the usless discography thing (gone) 10. he got rid of the content that was on aphex twin.nu (then he brought it back for awhile and now its gone again) 11. there was a homepage that was updated sometimes (gone) 12. search was removed 13. thoughest posters/stats were removed 14. he made it so u can reply 2 posts? (i think this came after it turned in2 xltronic) (still working) 15. fav+ was broken 16. he made it so mods get there name in a special color (still working) 17. lazy link and character counter was added (still working) 18. some board hacks were fixed i think 19. the way the site urls work was changed 2 give xltronic better SEO 20. there were special topic tags n stuff added for talking about albumns in the discography and also nsfw threads (dunno if these still work im not a mod) 21. adsense ads added also please add anything if i forgot it but my point is xltronic was sad since it was started its no big deal n i dont even CARE about sites updating or ading features and stuff since alot of the time it makes it worse but STOP DALUDING URSELFS into think somehow if phobizero shows up and makes xltronic v2 or v3 its gonna be better |

we haven't been here before. well, we have but to this extent? messageboards in general died after facebook became common place. the outright bitterness of our so called 'equals' after the media driven orwellian western states has perhaps driven ppl back to a kind of 'retro' desperation with regards how people want the 'internet' to be.
