The cure for shyness

I care about what other people think of me. I value good
human relationsships
Yet i try to speak my mind whenever i get in contact with
another human being. This is very uncomfortable for me and
produces constant anxiety.
But i have to endure this, because i care and i love the
truth and my personal and emotional freedom.

It shouldn't be uncomfortable. Unless you are speaking to a
total spazztard, and unfortunately spazztards make up 90% of
the human population. You just need to learn to avoid them.
This is usually not that difficult as they have distinctive
traits e.g. reading the Toronto Sun, being really obese, and
feeding McDonalds fries to their two-month-old babies.

I think you need some pschyological help if you refer to
everyone else as "human". Isolating yourself is no good.
Seriously phone up the Samaritans and get it sorted. Sooner
you conquer your issues the sooner you can get on with the
rest of your life. It can be good. They have heard it all
before, but they will listen. this will help you. Stop
worrying about what you should be doing and get on with it.
I am a 40 year old man and have had plenty of friends who
have had breakdowns/suicide attempts/depression/anxiety
don't worry yourself sick act on your feelings/worries it is
the only way to get back on track :)

i think there's value in letting your emotions run the
course -- let it out, you know? -- but there becomes a
certain point where you need to say "alright, that's enough"
and get up off the couch; do something about it.

the constant lying in society bothers me too on some levels,
as i have the same sort of no-bullshit attitude. however,
it's also rather selfish to be a truth stickler. some lying
is actually a form of caring. it means the person cares
enough about you that they'd rather lie than tell the truth,
because they feel the truth might be hurtful to you, while a
lie would make you feel good. like, i'll tell my old aunties
"you look nice" at family gatherings even when they don't,
because it makes them smile, and saying "i can tell you use
hair dye" would just cause an incident.

really, i think you need to focus on trying to see things
through the eyes of these "people" you have so much trouble
with.

amazing how much content these troll threads generate....

I don't wanna be a liar. I mean i have values and shit.
Maybe it would be better to adopt a civilized form of
criticism. How to tell someone he is a fat piece of shit in
a polite manner?
Well, i don't know. But not calling him a fat piece of shit
would be the first step.

monoid, people harbor all sorts of delusions, and many are
necessary in order for a person to remain sane, balanced,
and functional. besides, who are you to disrupt the reality
they've assembled? there's nothing gentle about ontological
rape, no matter how it goes down... especially if it's
regarding a sensitive topic like body image.

take balding guys with superbad combovers, for example --
you'd think someone would tell them, right? but no, no one
does. deep down, these guys probably know exactly how it
looks, but they comb it just right so it looks ok from a
single angle in the mirror. then they go out, and no one
mentions it, because this guy is clearly upset enough about
his hair situation that he's allowed himself to deny it
exists. that denial is a long and gradual thing; not
something someone he's just met should tackle. none of your
biz, not your responsibility, etc.... it's best left for a
friend or family member to gently bring up at a good moment.
if none of them do, then it's probably for the best.
meanwhile, the hair situation no longer stresses him out,
and he feels happier. why ruin that? it's cruel.

p.s. fat people know they're fat already. no need to waste
conversational bandwidth on the issue.

There's a big difference between lying and just not telling
someone they suck. Who the Fuck made you judge of the
universe, anyway?

You're the only person that actually exists in the universe,
all of the people you know are not real, you have been lied
to your whole life as the reality you face each day is a
program designed by a deity called Zebra. Monoid please
listen to me, you are a God that has been stripped of it's
faculties a process called pluriform of fall and exile, you
inhabit the Monoid character and now you have to cross over
with the lower and upper realm which will join into one
allowing you to regain your anamnesis, until that time you
must unify with a woman to complete the yin and yang
interface so that light can once again be separated from
dark and that time can be introduced once again.

btw, the key is accepting the irrational parts of yourself,
then (and whilst) creating new rational ones. the new voices
become more powerful the more you act in line with them.
