Confused about XLT?

Confused about XLT? Are you new here and finding it
a little challenging to adapt to the environment? Here's a
tip from an old pro. Always look at the source code.
As in regular life, where one finds oneself in a quandary or
unfamiliar territory, we turn to the original source
code
, the Bible. "All is vanity", we read, and
move on.

But what do we find at the source of XLT (which some
scholars attribute to a pagan called Tunemx)?

meta name="Keywords" content="messageboard, forum,
discography, release, xltronic, electronic, music,
electronic music, music, electro, elektro, techno,
electronica, reviews, review, software, mp3, vinyl,
collectible, IDM, trance, dance music, hardware,
trance"

The key here is the word keywords - these are
the key words (you're getting the idea) that should be
uppermost in your mind when interacting on XLT.
Techno, electronica, release,
mp3, collectible but emphatically
not collectable.

And remember, both review AND reviews.

XLT can be overwhelming, it's true. But clear guidance is
available. You just have to dig a little to find it.

I've spent most of the day in my steam room thinking about
how "trance" appears twice. I believe one instance refers to
the genre of Music, the other to the state we reach when
Posting. All is vanity.

generic skiffle band on amphetamines; features very fast
keyboard player. song is actually not particularly good.
there's the standard blues progression the beach boys abuse
and none of it's terribly hooky

Good to see xltronic in the list of keywords for xltronic.
If an AI is ever going to emerge out of the internet,
self-reference is a necessary ingredient.

Too bad, xltronic is currently in a deep coma though.

it's not just whether xltronic relates to xltronic: how does
xltronic relate to xltronic over time? perhaps xltronic was
actually much more relevant to xltronic in 2003 than 2013.
moreover, does xltronic, as an entity, seek to influence its
influence on the definition of xltronic? if so, this
subterfuge must be heuristically accounted for by the big
computer.

The more I look at it, with these repeated words and
phrases, one could be tempted into thinking than beyond
being a purely functional (albeit optimistically so) list of
search terms, whether or not this wasn't a form of poetry
attempting to express something broader?

Indulge me with this, just for a moment. Recite, out loud,
the following stanza from "keywords", being careful to
observe the commas as a measure of your speech;

" xltronic, electronic, music, electronic music, music,
electro, elektro, techno
"

If one thinks about it, it's as if Samuel Beckett had joined
Underworld. And isn't that rather playful, if slightly dark,
thought? One so typical of this site's Scandinavian
architects.

benn jordan can be loved after all. you know he got that cut
on his eyebrow from trying to take a pic with squarepusher.
upon receiving the scar that would forever remain in his
heart, he vowed vengeance with a musical operation called
anti-idm.

so far, very successful.

Cuntish: possibly a misspelling of Cnutish, adjective
describing the attributes of Cnut or his followers, e.g.:

"he's proving his fallibility to the barons by trying to
command the sea, how Cnutish!"
