It's not afx that owes us anything; contrarily, it's us that owe afx something. We're lucky to live in a world where he released anything, let alone so many albums. he's already done so much that improved our lives. the least we can do is be thankful for this... I saw ICBYD (my favorite?) in a vinyl store yesterday. I should have bought it, just to send a few more bucks his way. (Luckily I did this more directly by grabbing all of analord when the updated version hit the rephlex store.) I hope he can spend the rest of his days doing whatever he pleases, he deserves it... |

don't make him think he owes anything to anyone as an artist, that's a great fucking pressure. just let him spend the money you already gave him, don't be greedy. besides, nowadays you have so much music by aphex-look-a-likes and aphex-analogue-wanna-be's and followers and what have you that you should be quite happy without him or hearing music having his logo on it. there's LOTS of aphexy sound hidden here and there, don't be lazy, search e.g. soundcloud. imagine he doesn't come up with a new official release by "aphex twin". what then ? let him be. he's not a genius, just the right guy in the right place/time. new The Tuss release would be most welcome, btw am I still on topic ? sorry |

yes you're on topic..I'm very happy with all music that's released nowadays..I can now only hope AFX runs out of money very fast, just because I wonder what he'd make today..I also wonder if he still creates music or is he just spending all his money on chicks and tanks? |
