Boston Bombing 4th Amendment

I haven't seen much talk about what happened in the door to
door search within the 20-block radius. I've seen pictures
of the military running through houses. Did they need to be
allowed in, or did they completely bypass the 4th amendment
and break down doors?

For you non-Americans:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons,
houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches
and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall
issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or
affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be
searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

On the surface of things it sounds great to say "hey,
whatever you need to do to find the remaining alleged bomber
do it. come on into my house unbidden and without reason
with weapons of war." In reality, however, the military did
not have probable cause to search what must have been
hundreds of homes, and in fact this search didn't even flush
out the surviving bomber.

This has serious implications. What would epic mega trax
have done if the military busted down his door while he was
high on research chemicals, his baggies of shit and his bong
loaded on his table for all to see? Perhaps his child porn
was still on his monitor as he hadn't yet finished his wank.
With his dick in his hand and his crusty pajama bottoms
around his ankles he could have possibly injured himself in
the commotion.

All joking about epic's drug habits and pathetic basement
dwelling aside, I think this is a serious issue that needs
to be talked about.

what are you on about? we should have no limits in how far
we'll go to fight terrorism. these people are killing
innocent women and children. forget the constitution it's
not necessary in these cases. terrorism is an act of war and
needs to be dealt with like any other military threat.
