Did you ever observe your thoughts, feelings, emotions,
sensations without judging them?

This is difficult because i am not sure if i should have or
not have these thoughts and feelings.

I mean they are helpful in a way or are they not?

But isn't the drama and suffering less

if we do the ball thing every day?

Don't call it "the ball thing."

Call it "pure being."

Doesn't the pure being, ball thing

make the day-to-day suffering easier?

- Yeah.

- O, it doesn't.

You're wrong. We're gonna

do this every day.

- We'll show you. It'll make it easier.

- I'll prove it to you.

Human drama

is inevitable.

Suffering cannot be diminished.

You cannot escape, Tommy.

observing thoughts and not necessarily identifying with them
is definitely pretty cool

It is a bit too cool for me...but this might be just another
thought.

Hey Crazone, why is it impossible? Because of the infinite
regress?

Because your mind is subjective it will always 'judge'
everything

So, why are people being told that one side of their mind
judges everything and the other side doesn't? The other side
just observes the surroudnings. I guess this is some kind of
mental trick, to stop people from thinking stupid stuff?!?
Or is it some kind of methaphor?

read prometheus rising by r. a. wilson and then come back to
coup de grace this stupid thread. he calls those two sides
the thinker and the prover.

I don't think that one part of you brain judges and the
other doesn't. Your brains interactions are so complex you
can't reduce it to zero's and ones.

But if you become entangled in your thoughts, you can notice
this, and treat thoughts and feelings like 'outside objects'
if you just observe them...hmm. Thus you will become more
aware of the current moment.

You should try doing the opposite using meditation, by
reducing your thoughts and eventually stoping them entirely,
do this by listening to the ambeint noise in your area. You
will cease thinking and be purely listening, it will make
you feel a lot better

Yes-- living from the observing self is beneficial and
enlightening. Everyone should do it now and again.
