Why do couples and parents get special treatment regarding
tax? It's basically a tax on single people and people who
have no interest in squeezing a miniature human out of their
cunt. Taxes and benefits should only apply to individuals.
Why must I subsidize other people's shared households and
screaming offspring?

[/libertarian]

let's laugh at dogs as they do stupid shit because we're
dangling a biscuit. you silly dog! you will do anything for
a biscuit!

then let's act precisely the same way about money and not
even realize it.

(decryption: "tax break" means "society gives you a biscuit
because you're a good dog")

stupid human tricks include: maintaining good credit, saving
for retirement, climbing the ladder at work

Ah, tax. That thing where they take money that I've earnt,
that I would spend on things that improve my quality of life
life (and in doing so, provide other people an income) and
instead piss it away on things that I am often utterly
indifferent to, or even vehemently opposed to. Meanwhile,
they neglect to spend any on the (very, very) few things
that justify government and taxation's existence, such as;
road networks, street cleaning, irrigation, drainage and
drinking water.

it's to encourage the growth rate of the population,
wouldn't be neccesary if it wasn't so low

Population growth cannot just continue forever, that's just
a massive Ponzi scheme. We have to accept this fact
eventually so why not now. Besides, influencing demographics
is not something I want my government to have control over.

im thrilled at the idea of your money being taken away from
u and given to stuff you have no idea about. youd only spend
it on shit like skating and honestly its for the best ppl
like u dont get to decide who's worthy. it would give you an
excuse to be more of a prick and you dont need that.

Ah but what if you want to save up lots of money so it can
be given to a good cause? That's literally what I want to do
- a lot of my motivation to try and become vaguely rich.
Save up a bunch of money so I can buy a nice house and turn
it into super-cheap lodgings for homeless/very poor people.
Or buy a plot of land and turn it into a public park or
nature reserve or some shit.

The government almost prevents me from doing that by nicking
some of my money and spending it on bank bailouts and
totally redundant additional levels of bureaucracy and
drones to blow up Paki tribesmen etc.

another stupid human trick: incentivizing giving old clothes
to the salvation army with tax deductions instead of leaving
them on the street in a box where they're actually
accessible to those in need instead of just college
students.

We could spend some of that money on literacy programmes.

Thank you, this is news to me.

Unfortunately, he/she is quite funny:
EG The "Pistorius" comment in the valentines day thread was
very amusing to me.

Also, fairly on topic:
References to BoC touching up little kids.

So, he's probably in the upper quartile of posters these
days.
