You just feed soundcloud giant ass wav files, not mp3s? You seem to be inspired by youtubedoubler, or whatever that lets you play multiple youtubes at the same time, like that mariah carey sound collage or whatever you made earlier if I remember; basically playing simultaneous ambientish sounds. What do you use your "4 track tape recorder" or whatever for? |

im using the 4 track less cos its pretty much broken. i used to record these tracks live to the 4 track cos i had trouble exporting from reason at the time. i may do more of the youtube thing if i have anymore good combinations. is anyone feeling my bullshit about guilt and water/metal? it wasnt intentional but its sort of developed that way. is it coming across? is it actually a bit gay and shit? pls comment |

the youtube thing came out of trying to make spooky youtube mixes when sitting around with a friend and smoking weed. it became more about trying to make a new strange song out of combined videos but ive only really started making anything good with it this last year |

sry u cant troll cos i decided yesterday that this is good. dudes here are some of my thought processes pls contribute. 90s mothers and water: ringu 1+2 - ringu starts with water that fades to tv static - 90s technology is like water. something evil in the sea spills into our new human sea. Frolic in brine, goblins be thine. wronged daughter (in the well). the psychic mother who talks to the sea and births an evil child. lots of understated urban isolation dark water (hideo nakata): mother neglect story. struggle for female to survive and love. urban isolation vibes are heavy. neglected child haunts the water and eventually claims the mother for herself leaving the mothers true daughter abandoned. rly sad. the child cries for her mom to come back and the elevator doors open and water rushes out, her mom has been taken away. alien 3 big 90s vibe defined that rusty wet thing. ripley is not free from the creature it has returned and killed everything hopeful from alien 2 including the young girl ripley loved. she is killed in the crash then given a ceremonial burning at the same time the new (more metalic) alien is born in the metal and rust. ripley is impregnated and there is a relationship between her and the alien this time. she is a real mother for the first time. she destroys both of them - fuck the company. first time alien was given christian spiritual vibes, david fincher loved doing that (see opening of se7en with NIN wet metal). in all the alien films the alien feels very male. (its worth noting alien 2 and its strong maternal plot including the famous stand off with the queen where she saves the young girl. get away from her you bitch this is my daughter stuff) NB: i like that water rhymes with daughter |
