i wear two or three socks when its crazy cold. layers are good for trapping air. also a hot water bottle is great under a jumper. |

Sealskinz, by a country mile, if you're doing anything outdoors where you might possibly get wet feet. If you're lounging around the house, pretty much any pair made of Merrino wool. |

TJ halls commando socks for everyday use, sealskinz are fine if you dont have any proper boots, or wanna look super cool rockin ur trainers for the duration of a party regardless of ground conditions. i find they make my feet a bit manky tho, wouldnt use em day in day out. |

hi obara , i'm not sure , my thermometer has packed up. but my blanket is definitely helping,there is no draft now. Although your wine sounds splendid. i can't drink again i must now live for sweet chilled papaya. god bless freqy : ) |

I used to live in this 18th century home and it had to chop wood for an entire winter to heat the home with a woodstove, sometimes the warmest I could get my room was 46 degrees F...sometimes you just have to adjust, that was very hard though and I'm happy to have a modern place now :) |

I know the feeling. I lived in a shipping container for a short time, it had a wood burning stove inside to heat it. Chopping wood with an axe is so much fun though. |
