it

it's a nice-catchy tunes, but honestly i think his bro makes
this kind of music a lot better... the bland beats just
annoys me, it just sounds like a tune made in a couple of
hours by the master pusher... im still waiting for the
album+enstrobia to give it a proper listen and hoping the
older jenkinson proves me im wrong about this pessimistic
opinion.

I know what you mean about Panic Massive jtalton. Up there
with my favourites out of all the new tracks, really nice
chords and vibe.

i agree, that drum loop is just awful. it could be a great
track if it did anything more that meander along, imo.

funny to see so many trying to find anything to like about
this stuff, like a frieind said to me earlier. i listend a
bit and now it makes perfect sense then what was meant.
farewell to posting in new squarepusher threads for me.

It's all fantastic. But the thin-ess bugs me a bit. Like it
to have a little air around it. very snappy. But i guess
thats the aesthetic

The harshly divided opinion is a good sign I think.

Some night several years from now, you might be a bit drunk
and the music player will be on shuffle, this tune will
click on and you'll realize it's a fucking classic

cheesy (not in a good way) and boring.

i don't really like any of this new SP stuff, all sounds too
fucking mainstream.

a great track, but that annoying compression is still in
there

i was about commenting also this, staz, but i didnt really
know how to put it into words... is it like a sidechain from
the kick eating the rest of the tune, isnt it? it is also on
dark steering and other album tunes, i think...

That's ok, Hed. It seemed you were saying it's not very good
because it lacks variety. I found that to be a sily comment.
Kisses!

i see your point. i was specifically referring to the beat
which has very little variation - there's definitely more
stuff happening in the track, but i have trouble getting
past the beat.

but either way, opinions are opinions. hooray for amicable
discourse!

You have the musical depth of a biscuit. One minute you are
championing 'Hyphy', the next you are jealous of someone
making music that they enjoy.

I think it's because people just expect Squarepusher to go
somewhere, or rather wish he'd go somewhere, but when it
seems Tom has a mind of his own, everyone thinks it's shit.

I love me some Angel Integer, even though it has that
horrible compression on it that i don't like, i've listened
to this on repeat for many days now.

offline Sano on 2012-05-16 11:53 [#02434280]

I like the compression in the track, the synths on the hard
sound very trance presets but not too bad of a track, I dig
it.

I enjoy all three tracks, I like when he plays it straighter
and keeps the extremeness in check a little; creates
tension, drama and Good Music.
