"Big news: Bloc has outgrown the Butlin’s resort in
Minehead, and after our euphoric fifth birthday celebration
in March this year, is moving venues for 2012. Take a
read."

anyone thinking of going? they say it won't be necessary
with tents etc. for the new venue either, anyone got an idea
where it might be located now?

if the line-up is good, there's probably a few of us
norwegians who would head over there. they're also saying
it'll be later in the year, so it might be easier to
coordinate it with summer vacations.

not sure about this, i loved the venue at minehead. again,
it all depends on the lineup though.

One of the things that got me interested in BLOC was it was
in Minehead so I thought I could go there and spend a couple
of days enjoying the Somerset environment and good music. I
couldn't go last year, may go next one, I hope they don't
switch.

i will not be going to BLOC 2012, as they've already
confirmed that it's going to take place in summer.

i don't cope well with summer in this country when i'm
sitting in a ventilated room by myself, let alone thousands
upon thousands of people in poorly air-conditioned rooms.

nope.avi

definitely not, the whole point of BLOC was that it was
indoors.

honestly the primavera festival probably covers the most
bases for me, but it's probably too expensive :\

havent been there, dont think its a tent thing tho. More
clubs and stuff? But i guess it's to techno oriented for us
i TT.

both the sonar and primavera sound are not tent camping
thing nor acomodation, and i think both are similar priced
festivals. sonar has two venue sites, one for day things, in
the center of the city at macba, a contemporanian museum,
and one for the night concerts, a big industrial/comercial
place with lots of huge scenarios

sonar is more electronic music oriented, and primavera is
more all kind of independent good music with a little space
for some electronic acts (aphex+pusher+the bug last year).
dunno why the fuck im talking all that shit, i just feel it
would be useful for you two expressing your doubts. i hope
it will

primavera always books a fuckload of rock bands etc. that i
am very interested in hearing, i'm not too keen on an all
electronic thing unless it's got a lineup like last year's
bloc. sorry, i like rock!!!!
