I'm going to be in the market to purchase one soon...any
good ones with keys for a decent price?

on another note...for reaktor users, have you heard of
dash-synthesis? if so, is there a way to p2p trade their
files? are there meny ppl on proggies like kazza or soulseek
that do?

well, dash synthisis (do a google search), is a wannabe
company selling reaktor made synths, usable only in reaktor,
for outragously large amounts of $$$. ie. a simple fx filter
that's about 45k in size goes for almost $20 american. they
also clone synths, like the 303, juno, rolands, and what
not. they are even working on an access virus. i think the
site is www.dash-synthesis.com, but i'm not sure...

i like the drehbank from doepfer, 64 potis, full
programmable inc. sysex messages, the pocket dialer is also
good, but not cheap. i want to buy a drehbank for all my
equipment, maybe some faders would do it to, dream of
controlling every parameter comes true. check out :
www.doepfer.de

programm changes or what ? tell me.... i'm also on think to
find a good random midi controller, so maybe the drehbank,
but it's very expensive.

http://www.audiomidi.com/common/cfm/product.cfm?Product_ID=
555

this is a good generally seriously though after
checking almost everythink out there this is the best deal
cuz it has 12 knobs and a key board for 185
the phatman has 10 knobs and costs like 150 and
you don't even get a keyboard at all. for labtops the
oxygen-8 by midiman is really nice though

i am also wondering if i need a "special" sound card to use
this, and what would be a decent inexpensive one if i do.
can't one of the inputs in regular soundcards be used if i
get a size adapter?

I've got a Keyfax Phatboy...however its not programmable so
proably no good for you.

I've read some VERY good things about the Kenton Control
Freak, if you go for one used I reckon you could get a good
price. I know this isn't important, but plaid seem to like
them!

When I'm doing my own stuff, I have to build it all up from
nothing, and I never know how it's going to go. When it's a
remix, you've got loads of stuff to use, so you immediately
have a lot more to work from. I sometimes get into remixes
more than my own stuff because the hardest bit for me is the
first part of ma king tracks and it could be anything. I
never think, 'Oh, I really want to do a drum 'n' bass track
today,' I always just feel like making music generally. I
never know what's going to come out. But then that's fun,
too, because I'm never sure what's going to happen."
